Durango Women's Harness Boot

I LOVE these! Just what I was looking for! Love the Durango brand name also! Comfortable upon 1st time wearing.

I just received. The quality is amazing. I am very impressed for the price. I typically wear a true size 8 and find them a bit more roomy than I would like them to be. My heel slides around with quite a bit of space. I wish I had purchased a size 7.5 if it comes in that size. I am not going to bother with the hassle of returning and reordering so will make do with this. Very happy with the quality and style. Packaging is very impressive as well.

As a person who has a job that keeps me on my feet all day, one of the most important factors determining how I get through my day is what I put on my feet. That said, I was torn between these boots and the Frye Harness 12R… So, since neither was available locally, I ordered both (I could only do that because the Frye’s were on a great sale), in order to make a decision. I will say, while some said these Durango’s are better than Frye’s, that is a totally personal decision, as it depends on what you value in a shoe. There were some aspects that I liked better in these Durango’s. First, the leather seemed more flexible right off the bat. This made them very comfy and easy to walk in right out of the box. Also, the sole is more rubber-y and cushioned, almost bouncy. They felt like sneakers on the inside. The color was quite darker than the picture appeared on the computer… they are more of a deep chocolate, and not very distressed yet, but had that oiled look. I liked it myself, but, if you like the lighter color, you might be surprised. The o-ring and studded harness detail is nice-looking and classic.As for fit, as many have said, they seem to run big. I usually wear a 7.5-8, and I went with a 7. They fit, though they were just a bit on the big side. I am not sure if a 6.5 would have been better, but I fear it would have been too small for my slightly wide feet. The 7 would be fine if I use an insert.That said, my biggest concern about these was the way the shaft was narrower at the opening than anywhere else. In the profile picture amazon provides, you can see that they are more narrow at the top of the shaft. That is not just an illusion or an effect of the photo. They actually are that way. The top almost curls in toward your leg. This might be a good thing if you really don’t like a ridge under your jeans showing where the top of the boot is, if you like to wear boots under your jeans. However, this was uncomfortable for me when I was walking, as the top edge of the boot rubbed around my calf and shin. It actually left line marks on my shin. I am not sure if this would have broken in and become less of an issue, but it was really annoying when I was wearing them around my house, especially if they were rubbing against my bare leg when I had nothing tucked into the boot. I showed others a profile picture of them, and they agreed that it looked a bit odd that they curled inward at the top.I also was unsure of the footbed. The sole on the inside was only covered in leather on the heel. The rest of the foot was a cushiony foam material. It was a squishy and bouncy material- very comfy. I was not sure how it would last, though. Then again, they do make inserts for this.So, I ended up returning these and going with the more expensive (but affordable- thanks to a great sale) Frye Harness12R. If the Frye’s had not been on sale, I am sure these Durango’s would have been just fine, and I would have just continued to wear something tucked into the boots until they broke in around the shaft. I simply liked the the shaft of the Frye boot better enough to justify the extra expense. Others may disagree.One last thing—I have to sing my praises to Amazon for their fabulous return policy on boots. It is so difficult to find a good fit for shoes and boots- especially when they are brands that you might not be able to get to a store to try on. It is so great that this company seems to understand this and offer such a convenient return policy. I have always been scared to order shoes online due to fit issues, and Amazon has taken that fear away.

I love these boots. I can wear them with any outfit and they are perfect. The boot is easy to clean. I am super picky about my boots, I am trying these in brown to see if they are as wonderful or if they have any flaws. Durango makes a wonderful boot, I would recommend these to everyone. Thank you

These boots look exactly as they did in the photo and they fit even better. I love them I’ve always wanted a pair and a reasonable price to for the leather ones.

Love my new boots! I got these on a Amazon warehouse deal and they fit my long skinny feet great. There is a little slippage in the heel but most boots fit me like that. I guess because of my feet being narrow. I wear a 9.5 usually in a boot. Like ariat and these fit the same way. They are made with a good quality leather and looks like they will last for years to come. They are very comfortable right off the bat but I believe they will be even more so after several wears. I love wearing cowboy boots year round. And I liked these so much I went back and grabbed the other 9.5 size pair that was listed in the warehouse at Amazon. I hope they come in great condition like this pair did. A women can never have enough shoe's especially boots! 😂🤣😂 I have every day chores to do outside and these will work great. Only con I have is that the leather squeaks a little when walking. So I'm hoping after the leather gets broken in and I add some leather conditioner that will quit. It's not real loud it's just there,barely noticable. But it was not a deal breaker. I do have a high arch and since these don't have inside padding in the footbed I added a good dr. Sholes lining and it feels great. I highly recommend these boots. Because they are worth every penny at full price. They are just as comfortable as my 3 different pairs of ariat boots if not better. I like the square toe because the pointed toe boots always hurt my toes. I like plenty of toe room and these provide that. I also like that they are skinnier around the calf and don't flare out like a lot of other boots do. I have skinny legs so it isn't as noticeable under my pants leg like some are and my legs doesn't look like their swimming in these boots.

calf is small. otherwise works good
