I have a pair of these, in white, for playing indoor pickleball. I found them to be a good choice on the wood court. So I decided to get another pair for playing on an outdoor court. They have not disappointed me. As for fit, everyone's feet are different. For me the fit was snug without binding and very supportive. An excellent choice for pickleball foot wear if they fit your feet.
Low end shoe construction in ASICS tennis line but very nice for the money. The wider toe box near the toe tips is thankfully less pinched laterally than most ASICS tennis shoes, that's why I bought them. ( ASICS running shoes, which I use and love for decades, are not so toe pinched. Lots of people complain about the toe lateral pinch in ASICS tennis shoes - what are they thinking?). Anyway, this is a lightweight shoe, under 14 oz in size 12 on my kitchen scale. Shoe is not quite properly snug around the mid foot arch, high end shoes do that, but this shoe is good enough. Plenty stable shoe for 4.0 - 4.5 level player. This is a really nice looking classic shoe, unlike most of the other tennis shoes of any brand these days. Bottoms seem a touch softer - a good thing to me - than all of the 10 pairs of mixed brands of tennis shoes I've had in the last few years: Adidas, Lotto, Nike, NB. I'm an overpronator and with a Cadence insert these are fine. All in all I like how they look, how light they are, good stability, good bottoms, not too expensive, slightly wider toe box, finally a good tennis shoe for me... So of course ASICS has discontinued them!
I did a lot of research on the best court shoes for pickleball, and these came up a lot for the level of player I am (novice on his way up). Gave them the first road test today, and I am very happy! I was playing with some rather ordinary sneakers, and boy what a difference these made. Nice and light, and although I am hardly a great pickleballer I felt much nimbler on the court with an increased ability to move around better overall. Well worth the price, and I love the 'gel' thing they infused into the soles.
Im giving 5 stars cause im factoring in the low price ($40) i paid. When i first put on the shoes they were pinch my side toes (to box too narrow or so I thought) luckily i took a gample and wore them on court and they stretched to a comfortable fit by the end of only one hitting session! And i like that these are light. Not very durable though. Cheap rubber that quickly wears away in a couple months of extensive play.
I wear size 10-D, and these fit perfectly. No heel slippage, and they seemed to conform to my feet. I use these for indoor pickleball, and was impressed with the combination of light, firm construction that handled the pounding I put on them, a roomy toe box and immediate break-in.Court shoes should have good lateral support, and should not torque flex like running shoes. These were just right. By the middle of my first game, I forgot about my feet. I only remembered I was wearing new shoes when I felt how comfy they were.If they last, I'll buy again.

Purchasdd this shoe because as a regularly active tennis player I am burning through pairs at around 3-4 months. I use asics as my match show, but didn't want to use those for practice or rec play.This shoe is very solid and supportive and initially comes with a lot of grip. Maybe a little look much as when I try to slide in these initially I got stuck in place and almost fell down. I'm reaching about the 4 monthark on this pair and have almost completely worn down the tred on the front of the shoe. But the back still has a decent amount of grip. I still feel like I have grip on the front at the moment so I might be able to get another month out of this pair. I will be trying other shoes to see if they last longer, but I had no complaints for this shoe other than I wasn't able to slide like I wanted to when this was a fresh pair.If you're a new or casual player that wants a supportive shoe I wouldn't have any complaints with this pair. If you're a more advanced player or looking for a match shoe, this pair might be a bit too heavy and have too much grip.
I play Pickleball for 3-4 hours a day for 4 days per week. I purchased these shoes in March of 2019 (now August of 2019) and have worn these shoes the entire time on the courts.For the money, these shoes are an excellent value as I just ordered another pair of pickleball shoes in preparation for replacing these. I have just noticed that the areas of the front of the bottom of the shoes are wearing away and in places, has no tread.In my opinion, as much as I have worn these shoes during pickleball, they are built to last. The uppers are still in great shape and there is no evidence of separation between the upper and lower parts of either shoe.These shoes have provided great traction and stability for my feet for 6 months and playing very intensely 3-4 times a week for 3-4 hours on those days. You could easily spend over $100.00 for other big name pickleball court shoes. But, Asics have been my choice for running shoes in the past. They now have my loyalty for the pickleball courts.
