The Bates Men's Tactical Sport 2 military boot stands out for its combination of durability and comfort. With a robust full-grain leather upper, it offers long-lasting wear and resistance against the elements. One of the standout features is the ASTM-rated composite toe, providing vital protection without the added weight of traditional steel toes.
The outsole, crafted with TacTRACTION technology, delivers impressive grip on various surfaces, making it ideal for professionals working in settings that demand stability and traction. To ensure all-day comfort, these boots include a moisture-wicking lining that actively pulls sweat away from your feet, keeping them dry during extended use.
However, while the Tactical Sport 2 is designed for maximum efficiency, new users may find the pull-on style slightly challenging at first. Additionally, breaking in the boots might take some time, as they feel stiffer initially; this should be considered if you're looking for immediate comfort. Despite being slightly heavier than standard athletic footwear, the benefits far outweigh this minor downside.
Overall, if you're seeking a dependable tactical boot that excels in performance and comfort, the Bates Men's Tactical Sport 2 is undoubtedly a worthy investment.

I’m a women’s 10 and bought the size 8. There’s some extra room for thick socks when it gets cold out. Overall a very good quality shoe for heavy working conditions, and comfortable enough.
Bates is one of the best in providing a comfortable and protective shoe. The shoesare worth the money spent.
I typically wear a 12.5 and have trouble guessing if a 13 or 12 will work. I ordered 12 and there is plenty of room but not too loose. They seem as good quality as the RedBacks I was ordering every year until the soles fall off. Hoping these last longer. They seem well made. I'm on my feet all day working fire/ems. Was very comfortable 24 hr shift. *Recommended
Great boot, I really like them, on my second pair. The only problem is my first pair lasted only 6 months before splitting at the seems on the side. I’ll try again but if this happens again, I will not buy again for $100 + they should hold up better. I wore Bates through out my whole military career, never, after many’s pairs of bates these failed way to early.
Normally I wouldnt buy Bates brand boots, but these wound up being the only slip-ons i could find that abided by my jobs regulations. I have to day, they're much better than my last pair of Bates. Very comfortable, easy to slip on, decent grip, solid toe and overall sharp to look at. Fantastic work boot.
I wouldn't have purchased the pair I did (10.5, brown) if I had known I was buying from a third party. I got a good deal but it looks like returning them will be a pain.I have a hard time finding boots that fit. I don't have wide feet, but I have a wide'ish toe area that doesn't fit in some brands. Buying boots online is a roll of the dice and I used Amazon to ensure an easy return. However, I ended up buying from a private seller and I didn't realize it until days later when my package didn't arrive. I sifted through the reviews and saw many people complaining about difficult returns. I am pretty bummed. These boots are the right length. I normally wear 11-11.5 but for these I went with 10.5 and it seems right. However, the height of the toe-box is pinching my toes. I haven't ever had that issue before. They fit well with the insoles out so I might try new ones. The boots are light weight and comfortable. The pull on tabs keep hanging up my pant legs and I have to stop and fix it every time I get up.I'll probably just sell them on poshmark or something.
I do night time 911 EMS and these are the perfect boot to slip on and go. You're not going to be winning any track events with these, so maybe not ideal for PD/FD who need to move around a bit more. Safety toe is so beaten up after just 6 months so you can tell how much better its doing than my old boots for keeping me safe and able to operate
I purchased these boots to replace the work boots I have been wearing for more than a year. The boots looked really nice. Even though this was a new brand to me, it is the style I like. I usually wear a 7 1/2 in a mans boot, but these were huge. I reordered the boot in a size 7 and they were still too big. Not sure if they come in a smaller size, but I didn't want to try for a 3rd time.Too bad so big, they look nice.
