I spend a lot of time in the garden. I've had a LOT of rain/mud boots over the years, some expensive and some cheap. These lasted the longest, and with an added insert, were the most comfortable. This is my second pair. Hope they keep making them.
Loved the boots but my first pair arrived dirty, someone had obviously worn them outside and there was dirt & residue on the sole as well as a dirty mark on the side. Gross. I had to reorder another pair in size 10 (I usually wear a 9 and they don’t sell in 9 1/2). The size 10 length was fine but they’re a little wide, but for a boot I wouldn’t expect them to be tight. Thin lining so you’ll have to add insoles if you’re looking for more comfort/long walks. The week before our vacation to London, the weather forecast changed to rain & colder weather each day. I ordered multiple pairs of rain boots from different companies. I needed something fully waterproof, ankle high and not too heavy since I was checking them in my luggage. These were great but I did have to get a size 10 since they were short & my toes touched the tip (I normally wear a size 9)l but they apparently don’t sell a size 9.5)They kept my feet nice in dry during major rainfall. They were light enough that my feet didn’t get tired doing a lot if sightseeing & I didn’t get blisters or have to break them in. I did add a basic $12 shoe insert that you can buy at any Walgreens or store. There isn’t much padding in the bottom so they wouldn’t have been comfortable to walk around in without it. They’re a bit pricey compared to other options but we’re perfect for my trip and a true lifesaver with the rain. My feet were perfectly dry the whole time. Because the sides have elastic, they prob wouldn’t keep your feet dry good if you’re wading through big puddles—you’d need taller boots.
Wore these walking on a drizzly day in Italy. Very comfortable and kept me dry!
I wear regular ankle socks with these and the boots fit comfortably and are easy to put on/take off. If you prefer to wear thicker socks with your rain boots (maybe you live in a colder area) I would suggest to buy a size up.
I just got them and I will update if anything changes, however, I really like them so far! Roomy toe box, soft enough rubber to be comfy, and a cover on the elastic part so it doesn’t rub your ankle. NOTE: I’m a solid 7.5 but also need support. These have none. Nada. But I expected that, so I sized up to an 8, which would’ve been too big if I didn’t put in a 3/4 insole, but is *perfect* with insoles. So I’d say if you don’t need insoles, size down, but if you need support like me, size up.
It's my fourth pair and I'm just as happy now as when I bought my first. They're perfect for the mild coastal fall/winter/spring weather, when it's raining a lot and the ground stays wet, but it's just not cold enough for actual winter boots. They're spacious in the toes (without slipping heels) so whenever the temperature drops, I'd easily be able wear thicker wool socks and still be comfortable. Very practical and a lot nicer than having to wear bulky rain boots. Super pretty with jeans and I could even wear them with a dress without it looking weird. My only complaint is that they could hold up a little longer: when the soles get worn down eventually they will start taking in water from underneath. But I wear them almost every day (that includes daily dog walks and other hiking) and still get about 5-6 months out of them.
I needed waterproof boots for dog walking through wet grass. These boots are fairly comfortable but could use a little more structure in the sole. As stated by many, they need the use of a shoehorn to get them on and it seems to get a little easier as time passes. I wear a size 7 1/2 or 38 and the size 8 I bought fits well with a medium weight sock. They are not light weight but are sturdy and should last with normal care.
Wear tall socks or the material will rub the back of your legs raw. I had guan gashes that scabbed over. But once I fixed that problem they are great! Keep my feet try, comfy for walking; and relatively attractive for a rain shoe. Enjoy
