I have shopped for a bootie for a while, but never found the simplicity and heel that I wanted. I'm nearly 80 and refuse to wear ugly shoes! I need safety, a sturdy heel and style! these are easy on the eyes and easy to get on and off. The texture of the fabric upper is classic as is the heel height. I don't usually try a shoe made in China as they use a different last than Italy, Spain and France. They also use more synthetic materials. I confess to being a shoe snob. However, I'm glad I tried these as they fit my narrow heel, the toe box is generous and the arch is in the right place. My lifestyle is such that I won't be standing for hours in these, so they will likely be very comfy. I usually wear leggings or socks- no skin showing between hem and shoe.
First of all I received my booties very quickly. I ordered a 10 Wide. I do NOT have a wide foot but I DO have a high instep. The fit is perfect. The booties are a very pretty olive green. The color is a cool-toned olive. Not a yellow based color (Yeah!). I don't like warm colors. Bring on the cool colors for me. I will wear these with jeans, corduroy pants, skirts and dresses. Fall is my favorite time of year so I am anxious to wear them!
LifeStride Women's, Blake Bootie ($57.56)I love the look of this boot. The insole has some decent cushioning. I took one star off as the shoe is a little on the snug side. I usually wear an 8 in boots and ordered an 8. I may keep them as they may simply need to be broken in. I will wear them for a full day and see how I feel. If not, I will reorder a half size up and see how that goes. The heel height and overall look of the bootie is exactly what I was looking for. I love the variety of colors.ETA: Took another star off, as this ended up rubbing on my heel.

Really like these little boots! The heel height is great, nice slightly rounded toe, and the fabric is nice. They run a bit big - I am a solid 9.5W or sometimes a regular 10 and I could definitely wear the 9W in these. Thick socks will make it work though. They have pretty good cushioning and are very comfortable. As I get older I realize I have to spend a little more on shoes and these are definitely worth it. Overall VERY happy with them.
Lifestride's soft system technology isn't a lie. It really is comfortable even with the first use. It also looks really nice.
