When evaluating the Timberland PRO Men's 6 Inches Helix Safety Boot, several factors come into play that make it a standout choice in the realm of work boots.
Comfort: The first thing you'll notice when you try these boots on is the remarkable comfort they provide. The cushioned footbed contributes significantly to long-lasting wear, especially during extended periods on your feet. Although there might be a slight break-in period, once they’re worn in, you can expect all-day comfort.
Durability: Made with high-quality materials, this boot promises durability. The leather upper is tough against wear and tear, which is crucial for anyone working in demanding conditions. Additionally, the synthetic sole offers excellent performance on different terrains, reducing the risk of slips and falls.
Safety Features: With an alloy safety toe, the Helix boot exceeds industrial safety standards. This feature not only keeps your toes safe from impacts but also reduces the overall weight of the boot compared to traditional steel-toe options.
Waterproofing: If you work in wet conditions or simply need a boot that can handle unexpected rain, the waterproof construction will keep your feet dry and comfortable throughout the day.
Overall, the Timberland PRO Men's 6 Inches Helix Safety Boot delivers on its promise of comfort, safety, and durability. Whether you're on a job site or tackling outdoor projects, these boots can meet your needs while keeping your feet secure.

These boots are great. The leather was supple and flexible right out of the box. They keep my feet dry in wet conditions. Just be careful with the size. I'm a 10 in most shoes (10.5 for Nike stuff), and the size 10 I ordered initially was way too small, both at the toe and around the ball of the foot. I got a size 11 and they fit perfectly.
This is my fourth year in Timberland Pro Series. These are the most comfortable work boot out there. I work on the waterfront and put in some long hour's, and working and walking on steel decks these boots hold up. The Anti Fagtue material and extra room in the toe area for the alloy steel toe make this boot perfect. My company does subsidize my foot wear every year, but now we have been restricted to only Red Wing Shoe Stores. To my dismay they are way too expensive, basic price for size 15m is 209.00 if you want a softer insole that will run you $60.00 for the pair. I'm a working man not a cheap skate. Timberland has "nailed it" ad far as I'm concerned, decent price and comfort and safety.
I work at a lumber plant, and I was tired of buying work boots from Walmart and having them fall apart after 3 or 4 months. I do a lot of walking every day on concrete and steel graded floors, and cheap work boots are comfortable and nice for a little while, but none lasted me a long time. I'm not a big guy either, almost 6 feet and 160 pounds, so I'm not packing much weight.I tried on a pair of these at a local store, except they were the 8 inch rather than the 6, and I loved them. I knew they would be cheaper online though, and amazon always rocks. So I decided to give these a shot. I live in very cold temperatures during the fall/winter time, and I wanted to avoid getting steel toe because they are heavy, and freeze the feet. The safety toe is wonderful, and it is extremely light. Also love the fact that they are waterproof.I normally wear size 12, but I tried on an 11.5 in the store, so I decided to go with it. At first my feet were somewhat cramped, and there were a couple areas that rubbed in my left foot for some reason, but not the right... But after about 3 weeks, they completely went away, and the left boot is as comfortable as the right. Something I did that helped was after having the shoelaces looped through the hook for the first couple of weeks, I put it through the hole, and that subsided most of the rubbing, which was on the inside of my left ankle. Now all there's left to do is see how long they last. I'm hoping over a year. My feet have remained nice and warm so far, but we haven't hit super cold temps yet.So I've had these for about a month and they are great. Very light and warm, feet stay dry. 4.5 out of 5 for the mild discomfort at first... And depending on how long they last.Recommended!UPDATE, 3/5/2014Well, I started wearing these in September 2012 and they reached their end. The soles wore down very much and I didn't have much grip left. Both boots ended up wearing down a lot on the interior portions on the balls of my feet, there were holes starting... I guess I favor the insides of my feet. I ended up shoe-gooing a couple ares on each boot, where the sole met the leather, they weren't huge tears or anything but there was some minor separation going on.. It wasn't super necessary.I also ended up using Sno Seal on them because they weren't 100% waterproof. The laces stayed almost 100% intact though! Only thing wrong with them were the ends, they started to fray a bit.Overall, they did their job nicely. I may have worn them a month or two too long actually but there was no tearing, no separation of the sole, no holes in the leather. They were mostly warm. I did slip and slide on the snow/ice a lot because of the soles wearing down but that's also the area I live in.Were they worth ~$130? Eeehhhhhhhhh maybeeee...?I'm following these up with some steel toe Cats, I believe they are Second Shift 6" Steel Toe. They ended up being about $55 cheaper after tax so we'll see how those hold up.Thank you for reading :)
Great product and great price. Longest lasting boots that I have ever had at half the price of the expensive brands. I normally wear out a pair of redwing or other $200 price range boot within a year. I am still wearing my first pair that I bought three years ago and are just now starting to wear out the soles. I bought these just to look nice at work and the others have become the extra pair that I wear if I am getting muddy. Normally I am on concrete all day long and they feel better than anything else that I have tried. I am 6'3" tall and 315 pounds. Great for big men.
Unlike the Hyperion boots, these, like stated be everyone else, have NO break in period. They are one of the most comfortable boots I have worn. The ONLY things that made me return these and keep my Hyperions are the facts that the leather is very soft (it scratches way to easily), it doesn't have any abrasion resistance on the toe to help with the soft leather (I know they're work boots, but I like my stuff to look nice), and no insulation. The Hyperion has the abrasion resistance (doesn't really need, but ill take it), insulation (I wanted a 'one size for every situation' type boot), and doesn't scratch... like, at all. IMHO, the Helix looks ten times better, it just doesn't do what I want.I gave this boot a 5 star because it really is an awesome boot, just didn't fit my needs.
