These boots fit great and feel great, No wonder US Marine Corp uses them. Also, they are made in the USA! That's probably why you can see the workmanship and quality control is better than any Chinese products and knowing Americans are employed and making a living and their jobs were not shipped to China and inferior materials used. God Bless America.
These are the fanciest boots I ever owned in my lifetime. Materials and quality are too notch. Indeed made in the USA by Danner!Normally I get 11 for roomier feel and 10.5 for something like a running shoe. The store was out of 11’s with Prime and I gambled and went for 10.5 wide. Perfect fit! Not enough space to put in an insole comfortably, not yet at least, but I believe as I break them in further and leather stretches a bit, there will be a place for a fancy insole some day.The boots are comfortable without any modifications. Absorb shock nicely, feel light (not like my tactical Nordiv8 boots, but not much heavier). Spent the whole day hiking and working around the house in great comfort.Feet tend to get a bit warm in them, but once it reaches a certain temperature, it doesn’t go over, as the boots went moist hot air and replace it with cool outside air quite well. Acceptable for summer, perfect for a mild winter and autumn. These are going to be my favorite hiking boots and I will take them through places this summer. I think they do require to be worn for a bit for the boots to adjust to the feet well, and I don’t rule-out a possibility of a blister. Though I would be well prepared with bandaids. For the price I can’t imagine finding something comparable in the build quality and materials’ department. I feel it’s certainly worth the investment and spending some time breaking them in. As a result these boots should be some of the most comfortable, reliable and multi-purpose footwear in my stores. I can see taking them for hiking and camping and yet them looking decent with regular pants and casual clothing. Wouldn’t mind wearing to the office either. They look like quality good boots with a higher price-tag.If something changes in my experience of wearing them, I will get back and modify, but so far I am very happy with the purchase.
I work in property management at a resort in the mountains of northern California. Lots of demanding work on a 200 acre property, felling trees, operating heavy equipment, landscaping, construction, in the sun, in the rain, and after heavy snowfalls. This job is tough on clothing. I generally buy Danner's, Vasque, or Keen boots but eventually everything gives out. When I went to replace my last pair I came across these for less than a third of what I'm used to spending. These boots are awesome, comfortable and just as well built and in some cases better built than a lot of boots costing $200 to $300+....mine were in perfect condition when they arrived. Glad I got them!
I wear a size 13 every day, any day, in a wide variety of brands, however the 13 R of this boot is way too narrow and uncomfortable. I returned these and bought a 13 W where I could find them, and the 13 W fits nearly perfect, if not still a tad narrow but not uncomfortably so. Just got them yesterday and they're an interesting boot. The mid-sole is somewhat spongy, the sole is hard and the shank gives it some rigidity with a toe-up architecture. Wearing them, it really doesn't feel like I'm wearing any boots/shoes at all. Standing for awhile in one place and my heels feel like the cushion needs some break in. Overall though, a very comfortable boot with a grippy sole. I'm a big fan of VIbram soles, and made in US of A too. I've only had this boot for 2 days, but I'm going to happily put them through their paces.
I bought these boots because I have 4 other pairs of Danners and this deal was too good to pass up.The quality and fit are what expected from a high end boot. I have a wide foot and a high arch and the EE is perfect. They are a little tight to get on since they don’t have speed lacers up top and being waterproof the tongue is attached all the way up. The laces that come with the boots aren’t very good, so plan on replacing them with something better. There doesn’t seem to be a break in period since they are comfortable right out of the box. The soles seem to have great cushion and don’t seem like they will get rigid and slippery in cold weather. All around these are great boots and a great purchase!
These boots checked all the boxes for what I was looking for. But I had tried others before that didn't fit well or didn't hold up more than a few months. Not only are these very comfortable, but they are durable as well. The cherry on top? They are made in the united States of America. To extend their life, they go on a boot dryer when I take them off. And to add even more life, I am getting a second pair to wear every other day.The last time we found boots we liked so much, they quit making them. I hope that doesn't happen here. . .
I work as a conductor for the RR. If anyone knows that job they know I'm constantly walking. Walking on balast (large gravel) , mud, water ECT. It destroys boots and destroys them FAST.I come from commercial construction where I only really wore thorogood. So when I came to the RR after years of wearing TG I found their boots called gen Z. Aka the railroaders. Point is these boots were designed for us guys at the RR. They SUCKED. They killed my feet, they weren't water proof and they were $280. To top it all off, they fell apart in a month and a half.So back on the boot search I go. I bought some red wings. And maybe I just picked out a bad pair because the ones I got were just not comfortable. So I asked around and a friend told me that he wears these boots, always has. So I buy them.Long story short, best boots ever. No break in time. Comfortable as F! I'm going to see how they hold up over the next month or so and if they hold, I'm going to buy me 2 more pairs for just in case.
