The Durango Men's Rebel Western Boot combines style with functionality, making it an excellent choice for those looking for robust footwear that doesn't skimp on comfort. Crafted from 100% distressed full-grain leather, these boots are designed to withstand the rigors of daily wear while offering an eye-catching aesthetic that pairs well with a variety of outfits.
With a calf-high shaft height, these boots provide ample coverage, ensuring your legs stay protected during outdoor activities. The rolled shank area enhances flexibility, allowing for ease of movement whether you're riding or walking.
Boot Model | Sole Material | Shank Type | Height |
---|---|---|---|
Durango Men's Rebel | Rubber | Tempered Steel | Calf High |
Justin Men's Bent Rail | Leather | Steel | Mid Calf |
ARIAT Men's Groundbreaker | Rubber | Composite | Calf High |
When you slip on the Durango Men's Rebel Western Boot, you're immediately met with a sensation of comfort, thanks largely to the Cushion Flex insole. This feature not only provides cushioning but also helps absorb shock as you walk, making it ideal for long hours spent on your feet. Additionally, the tempered steel shank gives the boot structure and stability, allowing you to maintain balance no matter where your adventures take you.
The rugged sole is another highlight; crafted from rubber and designed to be both slip and oil resistant, it ensures you can navigate various terrains without worry. Whether you're working on a ranch or enjoying a night out, these boots stand out for their versatility.
However, be prepared for a potential break-in period, as the nature of full-grain leather can mean they initially feel stiff. Once broken in, though, many users report that the fit becomes snug and personalized. While the selection of colors may be limited, the classic look of the Rebel Western Boot tends to remain timeless.

I needed some new boots, and after looking around, I settled on these. They look great, fit well, and are comfortable. As is typical in such boots, there's not much in the way of arch support, so I got some hard orthotics to put in. That made these boots my new favorites.
Husband loves these boots, true to size and fits well. Comfortable and they last about a year. He has been purchasing these boots for years and loves them. Would definitely recommend .
Was leary about buying online footwear. But after I initially slipped these on and took a few steps-Wow. My best boots to date were Danner Sharptail’s. But those were twice the price. The Durango’s fit and feel like I am wearing slippers. So snug and light. Really am impressed with the soles as well. Used as work boots, these are holding up so far to a lot of abuse(brushwork, log splitting, and climbing).Pondering getting a second pair to give the first set a break and time to breath. Excellent boots for the $$s!
Great looking boots, very comfortable, fast delivery!!!
Appearance. They look great. The "lowers" on mine were darker brown than the vertical "shaft" part which was exactly the color shown in the picture. I don't mind the differential. No one will likely see the shaft color anyway.Fit: Incredible. They feel broken in the minute you put them on. The shaft is very thin and not entirely leather. It has an outer leather "skin" but the inside is a synthetic material of some kind. Together they are probably no more than 2-3 16ths of an inch thick. That's partly why these boots feel so good right away. It truly is like putting on a pair of "tennis shoes". The bottoms are also a bit thin by feel which is another factor for comfort. There is no breaking in required because there is absolutely no stiffness to these boots. None. So the pluses from an initial impression are looks (they look great) and the incredibly comfortable feel right out of the box. I have to admit the synthetic soles don't really sound like "boots" when you're walking on a hard surface. No sound at all.Are there negatives? Perhaps. First don't expect these boots to protect you from a sprained ankle. You step in a gofer hole and you're going to feel it. These boots simply aren't rigid enough to offer much ankle support. Again, kinda like wearing the OLD Converse high top shoes. Second, are these things going to last? For casual wear perhaps. I intend to work in these boots. I'll be surprised if they hold up for a year or more, but hey, others say they've worn 'em for years so maybe I'm in for a pleasant surprise. I'm going to keep them. They weren't that expensive. If they don't hold up, I'll have learned my lesson but won't have lost that much in dollars. If you need ankle support and intend to really work hard in your boots, these might not be the best option ??
It’s a really lite boot tgat fits comfortable
The Durango Rebel boots are comfortable, fit very well, and are quite durable so far. They are comfortable enough that I wear them almost every day. I am waiting for the first snowfall to see if they are slip-resistant, but I love them so far.
Never hurt breaking in fits perfectly
