I have had bad luck with the color of the boots listed not matching the picture.These look as pictured doesn't feel or look like plastic/pleather.
My Rambler soles are shot and my Heritage Roughstocks are getting long in the tooth. So I decided to get some new boots. Other reviews stated to get a half-size down. So I got 11.5 EE. That pair looked good for the most part - there was a minor scuff or 2 that looked like it would come out with some conditioning. I was barely able to get them on and they were too cramped in the toe box which caused pain. Okay, no big deal, I'll get my normal size. So I returned them and got 12 EE. When this pair came, my stomach sank. I could tell just by looking that they were much much taller in the vamp compared to the other pair. Now my feet felt like they had too much slip in the boot. The sizing isn't the only thing that disappointed me though, it was the quality of this $200+ pair of boots. I have attached pictures of what I saw. The stitching was incomplete on one boot and left slices on the side of the leather. The grind on the rubber sole was garbage too. I wanted to love these based on all the pictures that I saw, but it's not meant to be. When I went to Cavenders there were some Tony Lamas that were more comfortable than any Ariat I tried on. I think I'm going to buy a different brand. Maybe get some Tecovas or Tony Lamas.
Great boot. Comfortable. Very hard to get on which is why it's insane that we pay over $220 for boots and they don't come with a boot horn to help get boots on (cost $10 on Amazon to buy one but I should have had to)
