So I needed watershoes for Maui. Lots of volcanic rock around and needed something to protect my feet. At first I didn't think they'd work. I brought them anyway. Wore them to the beach first day and they were great. Second day on the volcanic rocking forgot them and wore rubber sandals that got wet and gave me blisters. Third day tried to wear sneakers but blisters were ripping open again. The rest of the trip I lived in these water slippers, including the plane ride home. Omg I love them. They're beyond comfort. My feet are 8 and half and 9. These were perfect. Snug, but not tight. Didn't irritate my blisters at all. They have soles, so I wore them out to eat, to shops and while in the water. Perfection. Very flexible. If you're walking on sharp big rocks I would maybe go for a thicker sole. Otherwise, these are wonderful for regular beach, rocks, pavement etc.
Bought these for myself (7-8 usually wear size 7.5) and husband (10.5-11.5 usually wears 10.5) for our beach trip. These were easy to put on, fit well, didn't rub skin raw, dried quickly, rinsed out easily and held up for the duration of our trip. I can't say about long term durability yet. I think they will work well as shower shoes for the gym or camping, too. I only used them on the beach. I didnt try to use them walking around elsewhere. They don't have much arch support, so we just used them to keep our feet from burning or getting cut on shells and debris.
I wanted a minimal shoe to protect my feet from oyster beds and tree roots and unseen sea-floor hazards when I started kayaking 10 months ago. These have done the job beautifully, allowing me to get in and out of the kayak on all sorts of ground without worrying about my feet. I've walked on top of sharp oysters and not felt a thing. The shoes slip on and off very fast, so they don't encumber my routine. When I'm back from a paddle, I rinse them off while they're still on my feet, and leave them outdoors to dry.After ten months of rough use, the shoes are starting to fall apart. I've worn them about 50 times, and sometimes left them out in the Florida sun to dry. The stretchy uppers are now fading from black to gray. The "collar" (the ribbon of material surrounding the big hole where your foot goes in) is starting to separate from one of the uppers. A thin cloth lining is peeling away from the top of the removable rubber insole (it started peeling away after just a month or so of use), leaving the exposed rubber a little (but only a little) slimy against the foot.So the shoe could be more durable. But at this price, for the protection it provides my feet and the ease of getting it on and off, it's been great for me. Now that I am a more experienced and regular kayaker, when this pair of shoes finally wears out, I will probably look first for a pair that's likely to last, say, 5 times as long and cost only, say, twice as much, without sacrificing protection and ease of slipping on and off. But I'm not sure I'll find such a pair, and if I don't, I'll be pretty happy to reorder a pair of these.Pros:- Protects the sole of your foot from seashells, tree roots, etc.- Light, unbulky, "minimal" shoe- The stretchy upper hugs your foot- Slip on and off easily- Can be rinsed off while still on your foot and left outdoors to dry- Low priceCons:- Could be more durable- The cons that go along with a "minimal" shoe - no arch support, almost no cushioning against things dropped on your toes from above
Can't believe the quality and comfort of these shoes at such a low price. Me and the wife half way expected these to kinda suck but for the price, we were ok with that......NOPE! Totally awesome! We used them on our snorkeling trip to Tahiti and absolutely loved them! Great deal!
The toe box on these got a hole in them and the threads started coming apart after a few weeks of wearing them in my water aerobics class. They'd be fine for a pool vacation, but not sturdy enough to hold up to wearing 3 days a week in the pool for water aerobics. Searching for a replacement, now...

I recently purchased these water shoes from Amazon, and let me start by saying that they are incredibly comfortable and have become my favorite pair for beach outings. The fit is fantastic, and they feel incredibly soft on my feet.For beach activities and casual strolls, these water shoes are excellent. They offer great support and protection. However, I had a less pleasant experience when attempting to use them on swimming pool stairs. I even posted a video of my misadventure in the Maldives, where I slipped down the pool stairs shortly after entering.So, while these water shoes are perfect for beach use and walking around, I would advise caution when using them on swimming pool stairs. They might not provide the necessary grip in such situations. Despite this, I still love these shoes for most water-related activities.
