First off, I accidentally fell head over hills for these shoes. I 100% recommend these to anyone, but let me tell you about what is wrong with them yet why I still give a 5 Star rating to them. The size you wear needs to be sized down. If you wear a 9 or a 8.5 in men; then, you need to pick a size 8. People with half sizes suffer the most because going a size down is only a half size. 8.5 men’s goes down to 8 but it is still a little loose. The women’s have the men’s half sizes, but in completely different colors. Bottom line, size down, and sizing is difficult in general.Next is misshapen straps on the shoes issues. In my photo showing the straps on the hill, one is lower than the other exposing the shoes sizing printed. The strap should always lay at a diagonal angle and cover the size printed on the hill for the max comfort. I have tried 4 different colors and noticed my Paloma colored pair were softer and also less precise in fitting. This is probably due to the difference in the properties of the material color differences. Paloma color has the biggest problem here that I have noticed. And your results will vary color to color; but, will be mostly good if not the Paloma color choice.Lastly, I am about 250lbs. The bottom sole pattern will take larger wears due to your weight. My girlfriend has a pair that she wears just as much as me but there is a noticeably difference in wear because she is lighter.Besides what I mentioned, they are amazing. Slip resistant, cushioned and arch support, secure on the foot, stylishly different, etc. I absolutely 100% recommend these shoes to anyone because they can be used as a shoe that you just wear in your backyard, go on a hike, water shoes, or even wear every day. The women hole sizes are the men’s half sizes, but the colors are selective to sex and that’s a hard choice issue when picking what you want. But don’t forget to size down always; trust me.10/10 would recommend and buy again. Hope this helped you.
I sized down based on other reviews and am glad I did. The shoes fit snug to my foot so I barely feel them and they are comfortable. Can’t wait to use them for some light hiking / walking in Hawaii
I purchased these shoes for a trip to Kauai These shoes performed very well during all my water activities. I wore it to the Wailua river kayak tour. The tour involved kayaking and a 1.25 mile hike through a muddy and rocky trail to a waterfalls. The trail had several stream crossings with rocky river bed. These shoes were sturdy and got me through all of them. I could very comfortably hike 1.25 miles in these shoes. I usually wear 8.5/9 women's shoes. After reading another review, I purchased size 8 for these shoes and they were very comfortable. Overall great purchase and my visit to Kauai very enjoyable.
These are very comfortable. Sized down 1/2 a size which fits perfect.

I have been looking for water shoes and I finally found a pair that is legit. Last yr I tried crocs for water shoes for our MX trip and first day I got a blister. I also had a fresh scar from a foot surgery and it would rub my scar and hurt. I’ve read tons of reviews and gave these a try. I love them 😍 they don’t hurt my scar or rub, they are comfortable and I just love them I’m wearing them just to run to the store. Best water shoes better than crocs.
Let me start off with the fact that I really like this shoe. Although it didn't turn out to be the right shoe for the situation that I wanted it for, I REALLY loved the fit and comfort and have sent my Crocs to Goodwill. If you you are someone who likes Crocs but have some dislikes, these shoes solve all of my dislikes of the Crocs except that I always thought Crocs were too heavy and expensive for their function/build. And because of the added heal cup the Hydro Mocs are even heavier than the same sized Crocs and more expensive.I started looking at these because I am a backpacker and we have more snowpack this year than in recent history which means we will have many stream crossings this year. As a backpacker the items you carry are a compromise between functionality, comfort and weight. For some things like hiking shoes and pack the comfort factor is more important than weight but for camp shoes weight and stream capability outweigh comfort. The weight of these shoes prohibit them from being my camp shoe. At 454gm/pair for size 10 they are on par with the equivalent sized Nike Free 12 (500gm) or Merrell trail glove 11.5 (500gm) or even the Crocs 11 (399) but are significantly heavier than the equivalent sized Merrell Vapor Glove 11.5 at 363gm /pair. I could hike 20 miles in a vapor glove but not in a hydro moc. My current camp shoe the discontinued New Balance 5000 size 12 at 228 gm per pair wins in both weight and traction. Even wet it weighs less than the Hydro Moc.But I still like the Hydro Moc. On a multi-day canoe, kayak , or whitewater rafting trip it might be the best choice. It is a big improvement over the Crocs. But like the Crocs I just can't justify an extra half pound in my pack especially when a lace up shoe is less likely to get lost in a water crossing.Sizing runs large. I typically wear a 11.5 4E and had to go to a 10 in the Hydro Moc.
