I had a tough time putting these shoes on and they weren’t that comfortable. The fabric was rough and tight. Not as flexible as I thought it would be. I wear 9.5 and ordered 9.5 but could have used a10. Wouldn’t recommend.
My wife loves walking outside, and these shoes are perfect for a hot day, they have good grip and are comfortable to wear all day, she has even used them to work out in the gym and she tells me they are still comfortable to wear all day.Highly recommended for use in almost any type of outdoor situation.
I like the style of the shoe but I hoped it would be as comfortable as my Bass Shoes they were replacing.
I have a high instep. Because of this I have difficulty putting the shoes on. Cannot do it without a shoe horn. I would not get these again because, for me, this type of shoe should be slip-on. That being said they are a good option for wet outdoor activities. I have not had them wet yet buy they seem made for that. I would not consider this a hiking shoe. The very nature of the shoe means that there is not the support and cushioning I would consider for a hiking shoe.
These mesh vent shoes are lightweight, well-made, and comfortable. I have had shoes in the past that were adaptable for walking in a stream when hiking and would dry out quickly, but they had worn out. I was very happy to find this shoe as a replacement. I wear this kind of shoe for shorter walks that involve the chance of needing to go in water. They work well for short hikes and beach walks. I usually wear and 8, but ordered an 8.5. It was just slightly large, so if you are in doubt about size, they are true to size. I tested the shoes out at home by getting them soaked with a garden hose as I watered plants. They dried quickly and well. I'm looking forward to my next hike or beach walk.
I usually wear a size 9 ½ and sometimes a 10 but a 9 would have worked for these shoes. Because of their design, they don’t come off when I walk but do slip on my heel. Wearing socklets helps but isn’t the use or look I was going for. They seem solidly constructed but have no arch support or footbed cushion although aren’t uncomfortable. They are cool and breathe and look nice on. I’m giving them 4 stars based on the assumption they’re durable but do think they’re a bit overpriced at $69.
My wife’s review: I ordered these shoes in my normal size 7, and they fit well. They look like they would be comfortable shoes, so I was excited to order them and have them as my garden slip-ons. They look nice on my feet, but they have a few issues that need improving before they are the ideal shoe…first, the interior fabric is rough and scratchy and rubs the top of my feet and around my ankles. It’s not a pleasant feeling. I wore them for a while to see if it would soften up or if I could get used to it, but no. The only way to avoid feeling it is to wear socks, and that defeats the purpose of a slip-on garden shoe that can get wet. Second, the interior footbed makes a hilarious CONSTANT suction sound when I walk. It’s where my arch meets the footbed, and I even tried walking on the sides of my feet, but I still hear it. It’s not a huge deal if I’m just by myself in the garden, but it’s not a sound I would want anyone else to hear…embarrassing! I can also feel the suction every time, so it’s a little strange and uncomfortable. Never in my life have I worn a pair of shoes that does that! The last thing is the soles have no traction…they look like they do, but they are slick. That sole looks rubbery and grippy, but it’s smooth foam-like material, so I would be very careful if on a wet surface. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend these shoes until they make those much needed improvements.
These were a little tough to get into; the material has a little bit of stretch but not much. Which, considering these are supposed to stay on your feet for hiking probably is not a bad thing. Other than that they are very light and comfortable.
