I originally got these at a local shoe store. I have always been a Skechers size 8. Ended up getting a size 9 because the 8 & 8 1/2 was really tight especially around the top of my foot near my ankles but that caused them to be longer than needed near my toes. I needed these for a trip in the Alps that I was taking. I was unhappy with so much toe room though and last minute ordered 8 wide and 8 1/2 Wide from Amazon. I received a few days before my trip. The 8 1/2 wide were a perfect fit. I wore them every day during my 10 day trip to the Alps without a single problem. They were far more comfortable (and stylish) than the Skechers I had in my closet. So much so, I ended up ordering 2 more pairs while I was still in Switzerland!
