I walk several miles a day when the weather permits so I wear the tread of regular sneakers relatively fast. I was looking for shoes specifically made for walking. I also want to take them on a two week trip to Italy, so nothing too goofy looking. I’ve literally tried about 50 different pairs so far, several others from this brand included. These are not the most attractive shoes, but they are the most comfortable, by far. They have substantial foot bed cushioning and the fact that they slip on will come in handy at the airport. That being said, the laces are basically non-functional because these are slip-ons. They are snug enough on my feet, though, that I don’t feel like I need to tighten them. I have a medium width and my foot is pretty flat, for reference.
