These shoes are wonderful! I need wide width and these are perfect. Comforable, never got the "new shoe" pain, they fit immediately.
Love Ryka tennis shoes and this one is perfect for fit, comfort and support. Runs true to size, no adjustment needed.
I want to be clear- this shoe fits great, and is comfortable; with one exception…and that is the only reason I am not giving them 5 stars. The first time I wore them, the insole apparently shifted, and now there is a noticeable gap, that I can feel at the back of my heel, and I cannot adjust it. It is stuck fast now. I needed sneakers, and I don’t care to go to the trouble of sending them back, so I’m keeping them, and just hoping it won’t cause a blister; and that the same thing doesn’t happen when it is time for the next new pair. My advice is to inspect the shoes before you put them on, and ensure that the insole is secure so you don’t have to deal with the same issue. Aside from that one thing, I think it is a great shoe. The arch support is perfect, and I have really high arches. I have difficulty finding a “wide” width shoe that is truly wide enough, but this one fits beautifully.
So far I’m loving them! True to size, comfortable and light. Perfect for very long walks!
Years ago at a local shoe store, I bought my first pair of Rykas. I wore those for prob a good 10 years. I couldn’t find a good match to them.A few years ago,I bought a second pair, but didn’t love them. I wore them, but mehh.So I switched to Sauccony. I love that brand. But they’re running and trail shoes. Not a “walking” shoe. I am not a runner. I love walking long distances on both dirt and paved trails.I have been having substantial knee issues this past year. Walking on dirt or paved trails and hiking are a challenge.I decided for everyday paved trail and sidewalk use to try Ryka again. I’ve had some issues with swelling in my feet due to a bad kidney, so decided to get a wide for those days. Normally I want narrow shoes.Today I finally tried these on and took my dog for a walk. Sadly I don’t love them and I really want to.Pros : affordable, came in a variety of colors, shipped quickly. If you like a memory foam, they have that.Cons: the shoelaces aren’t long enough. The top holes, if you need a wider fit day, can’t have the lace in them. It leaves an open gap at the ankle. I think this can be remedied with another pair of shoelaces, so will buy some. The toes are a tight fit on the pinky toe side. My feet are narrow it’s my ankles that will swell. So I found it odd that the toes were tight and rub in a wide shoe. The inner part of my foot by the arch also rubs. The foam is comfy but not wide enough. It’s odd. These are in no way a wide shoe. Sitting next to 3 pairs of medium width Saucconys and they’re all about the same. I never buy wide shoes because they swim on me. But this pair I wanted a wide shoe for walking and it’s a miss for me.I am going to keep them. I’m hoping after a broken in period they’ll feel more like that first pair I had so many years ago. If I find that they start to wear in well, I will update my review.
Love the soft inserts!! Super comfortable!
I will purchase this shoe every time I can. I am a teacher and that means I am on my feet all day long. These shoes are the best I've found in that they hold up, my feet fatigue is minimized, and I don't hurt at the end of a long day of school. Anytime these shoes go on sale, I will purchase a pair.
Really pretty and stylish shoe. I like the grey and teal color.I have wide feet and I thought the wide fit was decent and I didn’t feel a lot of pressure on the sides of my feet like I do when shoes are too narrow. There is a prominent arch support inside that was kind of odd at first but I got used to it. I walked 20,000 steps two days this week (Disney trip) and the shoes and my feet survived okay. The front of the foot could use more cushion though, and the provided laces are a little on the shorter side.
