When I got the shoes, they came out of the box and were immediately put on my feet, they felt great as I walked on the carpet and then went for a 2.5-3 mile walk, no problems. They fit more snug around the heel than what I'm use to, but then again my heel didn't move up and down like usual and I love that and they were roomy in the toe box. The only complaint I could possibly see anyone having is that the insole isn't thick and cushiony as some shoes, but I didn't find that uncomfortable at all. I believe I may have found my perfect shoe brand, I'll definitely buy more shoes from Ryka. I would recommend these shoes to anyone. If I find any problems, I'll update my review but until then I love this shoe.
I bought Ryka women's walking shoes a few years ago -- They held up well and were always comfortable. Then, I think my arch fell some because all of my shoes felt "shorter"! I went on a search to replace those walking shoes and considered other brands that had great ratings for years; I ordered a pair felt like cardboard on my feet! Returned those and decided that since I loved my previous Ryka shoes, I would get a new pair. And, I did. And, I am happy with them. They are comfy, they aren't heavy, and they take me for walks every morning.
I have been wearing Ryka for years. They fit my narrow foot well. The thing I don’t really like about this pair is that the back collapses. The back just isn’t firm. The fit & comfort are good however.
Every time I find a Ryka I like they discontinue it. I decided to give these a try. They are cushioned inside and light, but I feel the toe bed is not as wide as others I have tried. If I were to go up a half size then the heal area would be too loose. Hoping they stretch some with wear.
I almost always take a morning and an evening walk. I have used several ‘models’ of Rykas - I so far like the Rhythma the best. Fit my feet well, are comfortable and nice looking.

I'd never actually heard of Ryka shoes until I started doing some research on walking shoes. I take my dogs on a three mile walk every day and needed a pair of shoes specifically for this activity and didn't want to wear out my running shoes. I'm so glad I made the purchase because these are literally some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! They are so light, so comfortable, so cushy, it really does feel like walking on a cloud. I'm a Ryka fan now for sure!
