These are absolutely the most comfortable work safety shoes I have ever tried on. I work at an airport so I dont know if they will set off the metal detector yet but I will see tomorrow! These are a little too roomy for me but I will just wear thicker socks. I would hate for the next size down to be too snug. Super comfy and really stylish
Let me start with saying I have foot problems. I work for an Aerospace company in the office but the whole plant was just forced that all employees where steel toes shoes. Never had any before so a new experience. I don't have the experience to compare to other shoes but thought these looked lighter than some of the other shoes I looked at. They aren't as heavy as I expected and while I am not real peticular on how they look, I do work in an office and have to be presentable. These fit that bill. I have hammer toes. Not an uncommon foot problem and I also have some bad corns. For you ladies, if you have any foot problems, get the widest you can. Womens shoes and the heights of our shoes is the problem. Not much clearance to add foot pads. With the steel and the height, I have a slight discomfort on the tops of my toes but with trading off an on during the day, getting them broke in so allow yourself that time. For inserts, don't need much, you can get the kind that go in low flats, they are thinner but do add some cush as the insert in these is a bit stiff. Over all, I think they are a good shoe if you have to have them in the office. We have to walk through and around equipment to get to our offices, thus a requirement. I don't know how these would do if you were actually working around the equipment, the steel toe seems solid and you get more of a real shoe look to these. Only 4 stars for me as I think they could improve ladies shoes by the height allowance.
I wear a woman's size 8 regular but I bought these in a women's size 8 wide. The reason was because of the steel toe. There is plenty of toe space for bending and wiggling my toes. The sole is thick and after walking around on a concrete warehouse floor I did feel traction. The tongue is very padded which is good for me because I lace my shoes very tight and the knot sits on the tongue of the shoe. I don't feel the steel toe on my toes the way I would in boots. My only complaint is the insole. Take the ones in the shoe out and buy your own. The insole was very thin and slick and caused my foot to slide around when I walked. Plus better insoles gave me a better fit, arch support and comfort. These shoes are a 4 star shoe because of the insole but a 5 star since I bought insoles. They look good. A nice black color and long laces. I feel I got my money's worth.
I give them 3 stars because they are not 100% non slip buy they are very comfortable they are really nice I love the model and color and material just not really for using at work I make have and injury
Does not look like the picture at all. The soles are very thick, almost like those skechers "shape ups". One shoe fit alright but the other one didnt fit at all. I ordered a womens 8 wide but there was nothing wide about them. The insoles were thin and not very comfortable, no felxibility to the shoes, very stiff. Overall this is very poorly designed and way over priced! My $25 walmart safety shoes are better wish they still sold them.
UPDATE 02/23/24: Still wearing these shoes with the same comfort level and minimal breakdown.I originally bought these for the look but quickly fell in love with how plushy they are! It's like a nice pillow for your feet with the bonus of a safety toe! Seriously highly recommend these shoes!!
