I like these because the toe part is shaped broad and wide; this feature is very important,,,,,,overall, they are very comfortable with good support. 2 hook & loop straps allow them to be taken on and off easily. These come with comfortable insoles so I didn't need to replace them with my custom made insoles,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,For me, the size 12, medium width fit me well,,,,,,,,i ordered up 1/2 a size from another brand where a 11.5 size was fitting me good, but every brand fits different, so order 1/2 a size bigger, but keep same width and hope that you get lucky like I did,,,,,,,,,these are lighter and more comfortable than 'new balance' brand models, wear longer and are much less expensive,,,,,,there is no slippage in the heels,,,,,,,BUY THESE,,,,,,,
One of my biggest issues are my feet as far as everyday pain. Its been like this since I was a child. I can't even walk in the sand without wearing shoes as my feet hurt doing that. Now they hurt all the time and are getting worse. I have extremely flat feet. I wear arch supports also but nothing in the past 15 years that I have worn have felt this good. Its only been 2 days since I put them on. I have never noticed much of a difference with other shoes that I have tried to mimic as good support for my feet. I have bought shoes that mail-persons recommended. They hurt. I can't wear high tops due to the surface & ankles of my feet being very sensitive also so I need softer comfort plus support but nothing that rubs against my foot. Fast forward to these shoes. Very lightweight. Just alittle bit of weight reduction helps my feet. These do that. I usually wear a 13 2e but they didn't have any. So I bought a 13 D. The width is just fine and I have 2 special arch supports in these so I have plenty of room for my personal needs. I love the straps much better then laces. They are not putting pressure on the top of my foot to keep the shoe secure. Even though my feet still hurt, they are feeling better in the last two days then they have felt in years. I know they won't solve all my issues but somebody with really bad feet will be very pleased with these shoes. I am very happy and can't say that in years. I will update if my thoughts change. As far as comfort and easing of my pain, I have NEVER bought a pair of shoes like these. Thats no joke!!!!!
Two straps allow full adjustment of width of the top of the shoe, and they are a perfect length for my sized foot (not too short, not too long). The sizing is exact, fitting as do any of my other 10.5 D shoes. I prefer the slightly narrow fit at the ball and toe, because the trails I walk can cause my foot to slip around in a looser (wider) shoe; however, my toes are not cramped, at all. Arch support is fine; the cushioned tongue is not so thick as to be obtrusive; and the insoles are removable. The soles offer enough initial flexibility so as to not require any "break in". I see no blemishes in the black finish, and there are no huge globs of glue showing where the sole is attached to the uppers. These are a warm shoe, though not excessively so, and in my northwestern climate the warmth is welcome. After wearing these shoes for a while, I can add one negative observation: they leave scuff marks on hard-surface floors (hardwood, laminate, vinyl, etc.). The marks are easy to remove, but they are noticeable in the right "light"... a little surprise resulting from the choice of material used in the shoe soles. If you have nice hardwood floors, you might want to leave these shoes at the door when you come in from your walk.
Been using Propet Lifewalker shoes for many years. Wear well, fit well, and are comfortable. I get compliments on their looks.
Have been buying Propet products for years and have always been pleased and they last for years .
The main issue was they seemed to fit a big snug as far as width goes. Even getting a "Wide" in the correct size, it seemed a bit too snug. I later found out from a podiatrist that this seems to be normal for this brand. When ordering, get a size wider than you normally do or it will seem tight. Other than that, the shoe is comfortable and performs as designed. Well made, other than the width issue, and should last you a while.
Sneaker fit good, look good l also good value.
My feet love these shoes! I had polio back in 1945 and have used arch supports for the last 60 years. I used to wear lace up shoes and lace them very tight to support my feet. 25 years ago that became painful so I switched to boots - I bought the widest Red Wing books I could find. They supplied enough support, and room for my feet. But then my feet spread out and now I can't find any boots that are wide enough. So I tried these shoes, and they are perfect. They are the widest shoes I could find: EEEEE. I snug up the Velcro strap at the back (near my ankle), and leave the front one loose so it doesn't bind my feet. Now I am walking faster than before, no discomfort at all. I only wear them once a week, when I take a cab to the grocery store, but I think they would continue to be comfortable all day long if that were required. They are much much much easier to put on and take off than the Red Wing boots. The Velcro straps are super easy to use. Anything that makes my life easier is a good thing. :-)I also ordered a pair of the New Balance shoes, using Prime Wardrobe. I only put on one shoe, and could tell that it wasn't wide enough, so I returned them.Prime Wardrobe is a fabulous service. And the Propet shoes are fabulous shoes. Even if I wear them out quickly, which I tend to do, the price is reasonable enough that they are an excellent buy.
