If you're looking for a quality work shoe that feels good and fits well, then this is definitely the shoe for you if you're on your feet most of the day. They're strong and durable, but most of all comfortable.
Not very comfortable. Very narrow and rubbed the sides of my little toes.
These are your standard ugly orthopedic shoes with a few improvements to make them marginally less ugly. I needed something that could accommodate my ankle brace but anything wide enough had too much heel slip. Between the last, lacing and mid height design these fit the bill. I do find the stability lacking - the soft cushioned sole tends to roll. Nothing terrible, but it could be better. There's also not much arch support or motion control, so you'll need to get that from aftermarket insoles.
65 y.o, 6'5" 245 lb. size 17 XX wide. Once you pass 60 all sort of things seem to happen to the body. So, lower limb edema, pre diabetic, and bunions. But I like to walk 7 miles 3 time a week to improve my circulation. This shoe helps me do that without returning home with feet that are too sore to do anything else the whole day. Now I just rest a hour or two and get on with my day. These shoes have enough space inside for two good size insoles and they fit my feet like a leather glove. No pressure points, no crowded toes. I would buy again.
As a person with wide feet, I have been purchasing shoes from Propét and the few other companies that produce wide shoes for many years. This shoe fits well. However, it is made from very soft leather, almost like glove leather. Due to that softness, it doesn't slip on as easily as a more structured shoe, and (more important from my perspective) scuffs easily. Thus, for me, the shoes did not look new for long and seem likely to wear out more quickly than I prefer (and relatively quickly as compared to most other Propét shoes I have owned in the past and present).
True to size, light and comfortable.--------
Propet's sizing is maddeningly inconsistent. The other pairs I have are all size 11xw. I could not get my foot into the 11xw. Very confusing.
I was not sure what I was going to receive when I purchased these shoes. I wear a size 18 and most of the shoes in this size either look good, but not comfortable or they feel comfortable, but look ugly. To my delight these shoes are not only comfortable but look stylish on my "BIG" feet. I am pleasantly surprised and extremely happy.
