This is the perfect shoe -- it can be worn with suits or jeans. It sheds water and is easy to clean. It's the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned.
I used to by SAS shoes from Texas at more than twice the price. I tried these shoes and compared them side by side with the SAS. The shoes were absolutely IDENTICAL to the SAS with 3 exceptions: 1. The small vents on the SAS had an inserted metal vent at the bottom of the inside of instep just above the sole and the vents are just a hole punched in the leather on the Propet. 2. The outside color is much more resistant to wearing off and appears to penetrate much deeper into the leather on the SAS. 3. The foot bed insert of the SAS is leather and soft woven silky fabric, the Propet foot bed is a lesser quality generic build. I replace the foot bed New Balance inserts and wow what Comfort. The Propet is Head and Shoulers a better bang for the buck than the SAS, although if money were no concern I would opt the SAS. The SAS also come with an extra pair of laces. I will only purchase the Propet from now on.
I like the the show itself. The size fits like a charm. I have worn Propet shoes before when I purchased one pair in my home town.
These are wonderful shoes that fit my feet well, I ordered a black pair and a brown pair. The black pair was perfect. The brown pair said 11 EEE on thebox but the shoes inside were 10-1/2M. Could have been a mistake at factory. I tried to exchange but they were out of the right size in brown so I had a refund for the brown/wrong size shoes.
I've worn Proper for years and this is the first pair I've thought of returning. They look fine, the style is suitable and the price is great. But I'm having problems with the fit at the back of the shoe. It is sized correctly but the shoe slips at the heel as I walk. I've tried lacing a bit tighter but that doesn't help. I'll keep them but would not consider another pair sight unseen.
Good walking shoe. More streamlined and a little less clunky that Propet's Village Walkers. Looks good and my normal size fit just find, so no issues there.
I've worn these shoes almost daily for 4 1/2 months periodically walking up to 2 miles at a time. They fit well, the sole is in good shape but the stitching in the toe has started to has come apart. I expected a pair of walking shoes to last more than this.
I bought this model before with Velcro straps. The fit was good but the straps were much too long. These with laces are much better. I had been paying over $200 per pair for another brand and these are just as good or maybe better. If they were made in USA, they would be perfect.
