These shoes have great support and wear well. They have helped to reduce my bunions, and I no longer feel bone spurs. I have been wearing and buying these shoes for years. I walk at least 6,000 steps a day. I am sad that New Balance has chosen to discontinue these!!!
Pros: These are strong and comfortable athletic shoes with a real round toe. Perfect fit.Cons: No special ‘enhanced’ arch support, just regular. No ventilation. No ‘fashion statement’.Not gift-worthy because of the tiny fastener. (See photo. That little grommet came apart the first time I tied them).The shoes are so foot-friendly and potentially health-promoting, that AMA lobbyists may need to convince regulators that the shoes should be prescription-only. Lol
I've been wearing New Balance 813 for over 15 years. They are very durable and keep their shape. Excellent, comfortable walking shoe good in all weather, and attractive too. It's been about 5 years since I bought my last pair. I've been a size 7 for many years, however, when I ordered size 7 this time, the shoes clearly pressed on my toes causing discomfort. I believe the shoes were about a half size shorter than my old size 7's. For this reason, I had to return them, but I intend to purchase them again in a size 7 1/2.
These shoes have all the features of the shoe recommended by the provider my Ortho dr. sent me to at just about half the price. They are sturdy, and have good support. They have the roll bar to make walking easier and have a large enough toe box so no rubbing, and they an adequate arch support.They feel just about the same on my feet.
Idk if your like me or not but if your someone who is plus size, wears a size 11 womens shoes, have fat feet, and swollen feet often....these are one of the ONLY somewhat sneakera I can find to fit my feet that do not look like my great great grandma would wear AND the only ones that are not ridiculously priced. I have been dealing with swollen legs, ankles, and feet for the last 2 years. Every shoe I come across that is extra EXTRA WIDE, they are ugly, not wide at all, or way overpriced! I have bought 5 pairs of these over the last couple years bc there are no options for ppl like me. This shoe could be a little wider considering i ordered EXTRA EXTRA WIDE. Its a tad snug, but ill take it considering i dont have other options.
I bought these on the recommendation of my foot doctor. Arch supports were supposed to fit in there. Arch supports fit in, but then my foot didn't fit in. The shoe seemed well made and fit pretty good without the arch supports. BUT on the bottom of the shoe the heel has a piece cut off of the end of the heel. You can't see it in the photos but it is a sharply beveled heel. If you walk perfectly straight on your foot it might be ok but I hit a bit to the outside of my heel and it was very uncomfortable to walk. Returned them, and my search goes on for a sneaker I can wear.
This New Balance shoe is very comfortable and fits well. I purchased it for everyday wear.
This was my second delivery of these shoes. They are very stiff and insides are hard. Not comfortable for walking, everyday shoes. First order was a Wide (ordered a 2A Narrow) and arrived in box with no lid, beat up and rubber bands holding shoes in box. Second order came in same kind of box with no lid and 3 rubber bands. This should have been a sign. I will check out the seller in future. Hesitant to by shoes through Amazon.
