I am a diabetic with 10.5 4E wide feet. It is hard to find shoes that fit without rubbing. New Balance are the best brand. They did not have 10.5, so bought a size 11 4E, high rated for width and length in these shoes, and they felt good. But after 2 days of light use, my toes were pinching and the beginning of blisters were forming. So I checked inside the shoe--size 10, phooey, a return. When I put them back in the box, though, I was astonished. Someone had manually changed a size 11 box to size 10 with a sharpie! They didn't change the bar code, so it scanned as an 11--and that's why I got the wrong pair. Of course, it's untraceable, so no retraining can happen. But had I been a less careful diabetic, this could have led to a foot infection and terrible consequences. As it is, I ordered the correct size and am very happy.
