Fit perfectly right out of the box. Toe box looks slim and elegant thanks to higher than average forefoot compartment design, while providing ample space and wiggle room for medium-to-wide foot size, without compromising protection and support. Firm Arch support adjusts to your anatomy thanks to the selection of insole material, without feeling painful, blister-causing and hard, or squishy, lacking in arch support .
My feet are a mess with bunions, hammertoes, and more. Also, have chronic back issues and permanent areas of numbness in feet. It is extremely difficult for me to find shoes that are comfortable and accommodate the "feet and back" issues. The shoes arrived, I put them on immediately. I did not experience any breaking in time. I find these shoes extremely comfortable in terms of softness, fit, support, and the" levelness" of the sole and heel height which is problematic for me in other shoes with the back issues in particular. These are by far the best shoes I have purchased in many years. If you can relate to any of my feet and back issues, I'd say, take a chance and try these shoes. I am extremely satisfied and quite amazed at the positive difference. I will be purchasing additional pairs.
I ordered these for my 88 year old aunt who wears an 11ww shoes. It is very difficult to find them in stores if not impossible. Therefore we have to resort to to online buying and then trying them on at home. Bingo these shoes are a winner they tick off all the boxes. They are wide enough, easy to put on and very supportive. She said she would rate them a 12 if they came in red or purple.
I really like these shoes. I like the look of them and the leather is fairly soft. Since I bought extra wide, I wish they could be a little wider. shoelaces are so short I’m going to replace them. However, I’m so happy they work for me because I have a difficult time finding shoes.
These shoes are very roomy, especially great for wide feet. I ordered 7 1/2 wide (C/D) in white for going on walks and doing errands. They don't squeeze or pinch my toes or the area just below my toes, which is often a problem for me with shoes. I tried them on with thin socks, but I'm sure that they could work with thick socks, too. The simple style looks so much better to me than those bulky athletic shoes that just have too much going on in the design. From the reviews that I read, I expected more padding throughout the footbed; however, there is good arch support. I probably won't need to put in my firm orthopedic type insoles. There is a lot of cushioning in the heel area. When I put my weight on just the heel part, I could feel that. I can see why this style has been around for at least 20 years and why so many reviewers said that they have bought many pairs of these.
I've only worn these twice so far, but they were very comfortable out of the box and fit in my normal size. I was half expecting them to look too wide in the front, but they don't. There is plenty of room for toes, but comfortably so. I have an extremely high arch and there was sufficient tie length and material to cinch up nicely. I really appreciate the taupe color as it is often difficult to find. Additional benefits were a great sale price and the condition in which they came -- all packaging included and looking new. This definitely is not always the case.
If rating only the comfort aspect, I would have givin it 5 stars, but the leather is not as nice and supple as it looks in the picture, and it really looks "old lady"-ish! Anyway, I am on my feet 9 hours a day, and they ARE comfortable. That's why I purchased them, just wish they looked more like the picture!

I found them to be the best fitting, most comfortable, long lasting shoe in quite some time. After she moved from there, we no longer drove there. So, I began my search, with no luck. My other daughter had ordered from Amazon, quite a few times, and was happy with the service.So, I decided to try at Amazon, and right away, I was happy to see I could get them. A very reasonable price, for the best casual walking shoe, that can be worn on most any occasion. Your feet will love them,too. Fast service was a plus, also.
