A friend of mine I had on a pair of these shoes when I went to visit him in Phoenix last year. I asked him what brand they were. He told me Dunham. He went on to tell me that not only were they stylish, but that they were extremely comfortable as well. These days, my purchase decision is based more on comfortable than style. This shoe, however, offers both. I was looking for new shoes to wear with jeans. This one checked all of the boxes for me.
Shoe is very comfortable and stylish.
Ive had the boots before, now a new pair of boots, and now these shoes, they fit my feet great. The arch is in the right place for me, and they wear very well. I feel confident enough to order new ones when I need them, thank you
I now have 2 pairs of these. That ought to tell you something.I have had the bright blue and just bought the navy blue. They look black in the pictures, but I really like the midnight blue color. They do come with black laces if you don't want the flashy orange laces.I just completed an 18 mile hike over rough terrain with a backpack with my first pair, and I intend to wear them on a 50 mile hike coming up. They are very comfortable, and durable. My only complaints are they are a bit sweaty, and they feature the typical Dunham synthetic rubberish band around the outside. The first pair are showing wear on that rubber strip, it will most certainly be the death of these shoes. Really too bad Dunham can't just use some real leather on that part. They are already priced accordingly for leather.Update: I did wear my original pair on that 50 mile backpack trip. Rough terrain. I would not hesitate to wear them again on a similar trip. Both pair have held up very well. I wear the navy newer pair almost every day to work. They are comfortable and still just about look new.
For the past 12-15 years I have a good luck with many brands size 11.5 Wide. Though fit is indeed individual. Having said that… I’ve tried many Keen & Columbia models - totally not mine: - never wide enough. Whereas quite a variety of Dunham 11.5 4E feel like a glove with a good support. Proprietory roll-bar (R Bar’ provides excellent lateral stability. And tested under running water - it’s true waterproof. Good luck folks with Dunham 👍🏻
To be honest these shoes are a little stiff at first, but otherwise they are very nice shoes. Sadly, I have to find myself a second pair since chemicals and whatnot is causing them to split. I got my first pair in April 21, and it's April of 23, so they did what they were supposed to!
The white border around the Dunham name in the foot bed does not exist. My two other pair of Dunhams have this. This shoe is poorer quality than the ones bough direct from Dunham these are garbage.
I purchased a pair last year and I purchased a pair this year. I wear a size 16 shoe. When I find a shoe with good support, I have to purchase it twice. I plan to wait until the first pair wears down before I activate my new pair.
