Extremely comfortable shoes!! A definite must purchase.😁
When these sneaks were offered to me, it was written as "8.5B." I wear an 8.5 and have pretty wide Flintstone feet, so I thought I would give it a chance. Well, I'll need to size up to determine my fit. These actually only come in narrow, wide, and extra wide--so why advertise as B? Does that mean wide? Generally despite my boxy feet, I usually fit into a "regular" (not a narrow). These were too narrow--the welt area and toe box were tight. Moreover, there was no space beyond my big toe. The upside is the significant arch support. I wish these shoes could fit me perfectly, but it could take several tries to determine if I need a wider 8.5, or a wide or extra-wide 9, and that makes it complicated and slow.If the shoe fits you, I think you'll enjoy the features. Very light--it almost feels weightless, with a sturdy sole. Flexible, so when you walk, there's no stiffness or weight dragging you back. They grip well, and I'm just nerd enough to appreciate not needing to tie these shoes. As far as aesthetic appeal, just look at the picture and decide for yourself. It is what it is--black mesh, with contrasting and smooth black texture in the throat and eyelet area, and a white heel. These sneaks are not cheap--but no well-made sneaker ever is. If I could attain a proper fit, I might even decide it was worthy of 5 stars.
I've had quite a few pairs mesh sneakers over the years. I basically wear them all the time when I'm not at work (including around the house, as slippers). In the past, I've had Skechers, Pro-Player and Nike - all of which are super comfy and fairly unstructured. Therefore, I was surprised to find that these Aravon's tightly hug the mid-foot area, have a pronounced arch support and a thick, hard sole. While all these things are a departure from what I was expecting, they're still comfortable and nicely supportive. I wear size 8.5 to 9 (depending on the width) and I ordered these in 9B, which are slightly snug across the toe-box, but otherwise fit well. In terms of the look, I'm not 100% sold on the cheesy stretch "laces" even though they do play a major role in the snug fit.Despite the fact that they're not quite as easy-wearing as slippers, I like these shoes overall and would recommend them to anyone looking for a decent weekend shoe that offers a bit of structure and support.
I truly don't understand the amazing reviews for these shoes. Do they seem well made? Sure I guess, for mesh shoes. Are they comfortable? I suppose, but not anything to write home about. Beyond that, I find them hideously ugly (personal preference I know) and worst of all, the soles feel like they're made entirely of hard plastic!!! They offer ZERO tread and traction WHATSOEVER!! If you are walking on a hard surface like tile, laminate wood etc. you WILL slip. It's not a matter of if, it's when. I have never in my life seen a sole of a shoes made out of material like this and I can't for the life of me imagine what they were thinking this would be good for. Are they light weight? You bet! But what good will that do you if you can't even stay standing? I wore these shoes ONE TIME and will never wear them again. If I'm just going to be wearing them around the house I prefer the comfort of my slippers (which have tread). So, to recap: Ugly, terrible soles with no traction or tread or bend and they cost over $100!!! This absolutely boggles my mind. No way. No no no. Keep shopping.
These shoes fit absolutely perfectly. Very well constructed with strong stitching and excellent materials. They look great and are very, very comfortable to walk in. Even walking on rocks they are very comfortable and soft.
My mum loves these shoes. They are very lightweight with a very good arch support. They a more narrow then normal sneakers.
