Reebok is an American-inspired global brand with a deep fitness heritage and a clear mission: To be the best fitness brand in the world. Not an easy one. But if there is one brand that can make it happen, it is Reebok, the brand that was fundamentally part of a fitness movement that forever changed the way we look at spandex and headbands. Sure, this is not the 1980s anymore – the world has moved on. But so has Reebok and it continues to be daring. Daring is knowing greatness doesn’t come from sameness. The past years have been characterized by a transformation from traditional sports to fitness. The three sides of the Reebok Delta, a symbol of change and transformation, represent the physical, mental and social changes that occur when individuals embrace the challenge of bettering themselves in the gym, in their lives and in the world.

Good multiple purpose workout shoe for plyometrics, agility, and working out.

This review is for the grit model which is a more durable upper fabric construction than regular nano X1’s but just as comfortable and breathable. I have wide feet so I sized up half size and these fit snug like a comfortable sock but with perfect support and stability for me. The grit weave on the uppers is breathable but secure so the tightness isn’t an issue but I think on more normal feet there will be room in the toes for splay when lifting or vigorous movement. They hardly needed any break in to fit just right (accept for the aggressive heel lock (but that is very useful for burpees and push-ups to keep the shoe from potentially slipping off, just wear socks that cover your heals over and you will be fine). I get great stability support, balance, and cushioning for doing BeachBody P90x, P90x3, Insanity, T25, and Body Beast workouts. I definitely recommend this model for those types of workouts over the nano X9 or X models. As the previous models are more suited for heavier lifting, not so much for jumping around or quicker movements. This shoe is snug but still gives my toes good room. I would say that for wider feet the shoes are good but if they were any less wide I would be falling over, it’s right at the cusp of being too small. The previous models were a little bit wider which was nice but for me, they are doing what I need them to do. They are great for HIIT type workouts but I still prefer the Nano 9’s for heavier lifting activities as the sole seems more conducive for that.Pros: comfortable for wider feet, good toe room, sole is stable and has good cushioning for a trainer.Good for plyometrics, agility, burpees, lighter weight lifting, lunges, and stability workouts. It’s more universal for all different types of exercises over the previous CrossFit endorsed models of the X9’s and X’s due to the soles having a little more spring in them.Cons: heel lock is going to cause blisters unless you wear longer socks until they break in, tongue is very thin, laces are longer than needed without a real place to store them besides shoving them down the sides of the shoes. Not for heavy heavy leg day in the gym as the soles are a bit squishy under heavy weights (only noticeable if you had the previous models). I’m sure it will be fine for most but I still use the nano 9’s for leg day PR’s or heavier weights. Also, these shoes aren’t true running shoes, only for shorter distances. They are 100% better than the X9’s and X’s which are hard to run in longer than a couple hundred yards but that’s not really what they were meant for. This is due to the shoe style trying to fit in all workout types but with lifting the sole is less springy and more solid for stability. All in all, I recommend these for people looking for a universal exercise trainer shoe. It is really hard to find wider trainer shoes for exercise currently so if you’re like me and searching, these are worth a try.

Fantastic Shoes

I got these due to needing new workout shoes ASAP. They turned out being a lot better than expected. They're incredibly comfortable, great for jumping, and the grip is great as well.Only thing is order half a size smaller than you should. Im normally 11.5 and I ordered these at 11.5 and they're just a bit too big. Not an issue for me but just a tip for you.

My Go-To For Squats

Photo Chad here. I've been looking for some shoes that I can use just for my squats. These Bad Boys are something else and they get the job done.First things first. I'm a 10.5 with wide feet. I ordered a size up and they fit perfectly. No complaints at all there.Next up is the feel. Again, I use these just for Squats. In fact, I'm using these to attempt the legendary Smolov Squat program of Truth and Wisdom and All Things Supreme. So far, my body is being broken and my spirit bent. To be honest, I struggle to even write this review as I type right now. However, these shoes are holding up just fine. So, they were built to withstand even the most demanding of Squats. I had no intention of this, but Smolov is so demanding that it's making me become religious too. Apparently these shoes are accompanying me on that journey as well. Finally, these look awesome. They fit my personality and the chaotic look is all around Chadly.I really recommend these for Squats, however. I wouldn't use them for anything else like running or hiking, but you can certainly use them for that. I just believe these are best suited to squatting based on the design. All around these shoes are pure Chad. I absolutely love them and I'll order another pair soon enough.

Decent shoe

The shoe runs true to size I have a wider foot. It is great for CrossFit and regular gym use but lacks toe box support if you try anything heavy. My feet slide on the inside and it just doesn’t feel right. Also the back of the shoe is very stiff and will rub your heel raw. I have had my shoes for 3 1/2 months and the shoe is starting to fall apart at the toe box and sole.

Earbuds stopped working after owning them for 2 weeks. Very frustrating since I only use them for 2 hours a day. Don’t recommend!

Ankle support

The show is excellent with ankle support, very light, and great for HIIT, or cross fit workouts.

Still the best option for longtime CrossFit nano wearers

I’ve been doing CrossFit for over 10 years now. I remember when Reebok came into the picture and trying basically each evolution of the Nanos. I remember loving the 6s and I would still probably wear those if they made them. The new X1s are better for me at this stage in my journey. They do have more cushion than the nanos, which is better on my aging knees when it comes to double unders and running even though it goes against the old primal/barefoot ethos.I looked into the other major competitors and with the shape of my foot (it gets wide towards the toes) the nanos still have the nicest, most comfortable fit. This is a comfortable shoe and works well for when the feet have to perform both statically and dynamically. I’m not normally big on writing reviews but I wish there was this review when I was trying to decide whether to stick with the Nanos post-CrossFit-affiliation or move on to one of the newer cross-training partners. You’re still safe with the reeboks and if you’re an aging crossfiter and/or the reeboks wide toe box has been a deciding factor to this point, then these are definitely a good option.

smaller toe box, lack of rigidity, and a serious ankle chafing experience

I am a heavy P90X/P90X2 and Insanity/Insanity Max 30 user, lots of high impact moves, and I need solid foot support. New Balance has been my trainer of choice for years after experiencing some foot pain issues the New Balance MX857 in a 9.5 2E size is the best trainer I've ever worn. It has a nicely-sized toe box, excellent lateral support, and because it has "rollbar" tech, the base of the shoe is extremely solid. It's also an ugly, unvented shoe, but nothing is perfect, right?Unfortunately, NB seems to have stopped making shoes in normal sizes. You can't get them anywhere. It is probably pandemic-related, but for Pete's sake, NB, get your factories up and running again! So after loads of online research, I gave these Reebox Nano X1s a try. They're much easier on the eyes, they're fully vented, and they're much lighter than the NBs. They provide decent lateral control and decent padding/spring. But because they're not offered in a wide, the toe box is a bit tighter than I like. The base of the shoe is nowhere near as solid as the NBs. But what killed them for me is the rough material which lines the ankle of the shoe. If you try just walking in these for 1 hour, even with thick socks that rise above the ankle, your ankles get chafed away. I could allow my ankles to callus over, but for $130 a pair, I expect more. The shoe should be as close to perfect as it can get. Looks like I'll be waiting on those NB factories to start up again, as these Reeboks are going back.
