Fantastic stability and comfort. How are recommended for CrossFit activities.
I am a 62 yr old retired Marine that has worked out since I was 14, and I can honestly say theses are the best weightlifting shoes I have ever owned! They are extremely comfortable, provide outstanding stability, and feel like you are standing on a comfortable platform that has a perfect pitch/angle from heel to toe. I wear a size 12 normally, and bought a size 12; I partially agree with those that say the shoe runs small, but only about 1/4 size vice a half size. The size 12 was still not too small or tight for me though. The tongue and heal padding is awesome, and the slightly larger toe box allows for good forefoot expansion and toe grip. I actually bought a color scheme that I wouldn’t normally buy but, since I have a complete home gym and have no one to impress with my color choices, I got the pair that was $70 vice $100+. I can’t see these being used for 5k or longer runs, but should be fine for a mile or so. They should be great to wear on an exercise bike or elliptical though....I’ll find out tomorrow.
I found myself on a prolonged business trip with limited luggage capacity so I had to choose my clothing items wisely. These ended up being the perfect choice to fill multiple roles. During the weekdays these are a great workout shoe for strength training activities - not too cushy and sure grip. During the evening they are stylish enough to work well with most casual outfits. And on the weekends, thanks to a generous shoe box, they are comfortable for multiple miles of walking and prolonged standing.
These are great shoes for the gym. I use them for weight lifting and general training. They provide a very flat stable platform for lifting. I'm not sure they would work for running. They have plenty of room at the toes. The upper material is heavy duty, the shoestrings are short which is great. They stay tied but also untie easily when needed without tangling. They are stiff when you first get them but loosen with time. Fit as expected. I've been wearing them for past month working out 5-6 days per week. Am ordering a second pair.
These came highly recommended from a co-worker. I work in a very active environment; lots of running stairs, pulling and pushing heavy loads, jumping and climbing.I normally prefer a "zero drop", minimal type shoe, but I needed something with a bit more cushion in the sole. I still wanted something with a wide toe box though. The toe box on the Nano is widER than a typical conventional shoe, but still not what I would call a wide toe box compared to minimal shoes, and despite the wider than average toe box, the instep fits VERY snug.I get that it provides support during lifting activities, but if you have wide feet it's likely to be problematic for you.My feet are 12.5 in a men's shoe measured heel to toe, but wife enough I need a 13 in most brands of shoes, even a minimal shoe.I initially ordered the 13s and they were so tight in the instep I could only wear them for about 20 minutes before my feet were in pain. I returned them and replaced with a 14. They fit much better, but are still somewhat more snug in the instep than what would be ideal for me.Currently rating 4 stars after about a week of use under normal use conditions for me. I will update my review in six months if there are any problems with durability, etc.
These are probably the best general workout shoes I have ever owned. I was wearing Otomix shoes for lifting, ASICS for running and other impact activity. These are great overall. They are stable for lifting and have a good smog fit. The toe box is wide and the mesh expands enough not to cramp your toes. I have been wearing them for kickboxing and HIT workouts as well as some light run/ walk. I don’t think they would be good long distance running shoes - see specs about drop etc. I liked them so much I bought a second pair. I can not comment on comparison to the Nike Metcoms. I wear either 10.5 or 11 depending on the shoe. I ordered 11 and am glad I didn’t go lower. There is enough room in the toe without being excessive and the stretch mesh makes them really comfortable on my great toe ( which has eventually bothered me on some shoe shapes previously).
Used primarily for HIIT and the occasional strength session. Super comfortable, very supportive, love the sole - it could be considered "bulky" if you're used to minimalist type shoes but these are the best I've found.Prior to these Reebok TR 2.0 Workouts (3 pair) were my go-to. The Nano X is more comfortable, stable...better all around IMO.Buy with confidence!
I got these shoes to do strength training and workout. For that purpose this is ideal as it has lots of grip for gym floors and is comfortable. The reviews are accurate and it runs a tad bit small, I usually wear a 11 and these almost touches my toes, I'm not returning and hope it will get loose as I wear and break them in. I don't use it for running as its not really meant for that activity as the sole is very flat and I use my Brooks for running. Obviously its okay for a short run or walking, but the main purpose is training and these shoes are the best for that.
