I read reviews from several different retailers and the reviews scared me. Most said the shoes were narrow. They are not wrong and are using the wrong adjective. I am a former tennis player and now play pickleball 16 hours a week. I have bone spurs on both big toes so tight/narrow shoes are not an option for me. I bought these shoes expecting to have to return them but instead found a shoe that I am in love with. The shoes are not tight or narrow. They fit more like a glove The tongue does not lift up and out. Instead, it is attached much like inserting your feet into a sock. I do have to use a shoe horn but only because the bone spurs prevent me from putting my foot in and putting any pressure on my toes. Once my foot is in, I feel incredible support and fit. They are also much lighter than my normal shoes and they look fantastic. Played some of my best PB today wearing these and required no breaking-in.
These sneakers are expensive. But after reading many reviews and articles, I decided to give them a try. The sneakers have a sock liner design. I ordered the proper size, and still, I couldn’t get my foot into the sneaker with out significant effort. Although they are advertised as having great cushioning, I found them incredibly stiff and VERY narrow. I am so disappointed, I was hopeful these were the light, cushioned court sneaker for me. They are not.
I really like it
I only wear ASICS tennis shoes because they fit my feet perfectly. I have narrow-ish feet but need a wide-ish toe bed. This is my third pair in a row, the same style, which is good for hard court tennis-which I play in the winter. This pair, however, has no tongue. The inside of the shoe is all one piece, making it incredibly difficult to get on and off, and uncomfortably high towards my ankle. I don’t know why they changed a good thing.
The fit is good and had no break in time. However I feel like I have cinder blocks attached to my feet. Really hard to move with. The stability is good and there’s good support. My feet don’t hurt after the game but do during play. Not sure which one is better.
I love Asics tennis shoes, but there have been a few versions that had a very narrow toe box. These are not one of them! They fit perfectly and I played pickleball and tennis without any sore feet. I also love going back to white tennis shoes.
Less than a month wearing this shoes, the pull tongue part came undone. Wore and love Assics for a long time, and first time this happening. Not the inexpensive type of shoe either. Unacceptable for this brand for this to happen 4 days after the return day!!
