This is the first "Real" tennis shoe I've ever had. I'm a 4.5 player but never truly invested in quality equipment other than my racket and strings. I got used to playing with ASICS running shoes and an ankle wrap for extra support, but with these shoes, there's no need for the ankle wrap anymore. Great side support and amazing speed. Even though these are slightly heavier than my previous shoes, I feel like I'm reaching balls that were previously impossible to get.Most ASICS shoes fit me perfectly in 9.5, but this one is a little tighter on the sides, but that is to be expected, as it's tight in all the right places to bring extra support.Great traction on hard courts. Haven't tested them on clay yet.Took me around 20 minutes of playtime to get comfortable and break them in, the hard plasticky cover on the top was hurting my big toes when running, but that discomfort quickly faded away as I played.Overall, great tennis shoe, I didn't know it would feel so different, in a positive way, I'm reaching more shots and have more confidence on the court. Will definitely buy a second pair soon!
This is my third pair of Aasics. Only Aasics from now on. Started with Nike tennis shoes and after a while started to get knee problems to the point, I had a MRI. Went back for an evaluation and, long story short, I walked out after I was kept waiting for over an hour. Decided to just change shoes and see what happened. What happened was what I laced on the new ASICS and started to play. Knee miraculously got better. Amazing. Fast-forward three years, my ASICS were wearing out, so I decided to replace. Well, because of Covid they were backorder for several months, so I decided to take a chance and get another brand which had good reviews and give it a try. Here we go again, I started to get the sore knee again in consecutive weeks playing with them. So, I searched and searched and finally found this pair. Guess what? The knee rebounded once again and I am fine with the new ASICS which are comfortable, fast and stable. One thing you should note, ASIC tennis shoes tend to run slightly small. It will be a snug fit which I’m fine with.
They are a little tight but I expect they will stretch a little.
They fit perfectly to my size and they are very well made. The price was a great value at under $100. They look great too....highly recommended for clay court play.
The old adage 'if you find a shoe that fits, stick with' it couldn't be more applicable. Acics running shoes and tennis shoes fit consistently across their line. This shoe is light, flexible and comfortable right out of the box.

Great shoes! very confortable!! and long last! I love Asics!But please stop selling this "for Clay" cause its not! this sole is to be used on hard courtI've just got a big surprise when sow the sole... cause I bought to start a tournament on clay.. really disappointed!
