I bought these court shoes for my wife. She says they are comfortable, cute and fairly supportive. She uses her own orthotic in place of the insole so can’t say for sure how good the arch support is, etc. They are very light and springy and she’s very happy to find some cute tennis shoes that don’t cost more than $100.
This is my second pair of PickleBall shoes, having purchased the same style 2 years ago. The first pair fit perfectly and I loved the styling. After wearing the new ones, I began to notice that the fit just didn’t seem the same, & the side of my right foot is sore every time I play now. I’ve not had any injuries & have no problems with other shoes. I’m very disappointed now when I get home, but sadly just missed the return window!
They are super comfortable!
No complaints on the quality and design, but I suggest you order at least .5 size larger than you usually wear!
I have purchased several of these over the past 2 years and love them. I used them for outdoor pickleball play. As others have mentioned, Asics tends to run a bit narrow. I have a fairly wide foot, so I went up 1/2 size. Fits well. Laces are a bit long, so you may have to double tie them. These are lightweight but offer great support. Some have complained about their stiffness. Since they are a court shoe designed for tennis/pickleball, etc. they do need to be stiff especially along the sides in order to give you lateral support for fast side to side action. Don't expect them to feel like a running or walking shoe. There isn't much cushion, but you can get a slim orthotic insert and slip it in without compromising fit too much. The only thing I noticed after purchasing this last pair is the plasticky odor! Phewwwyy! I stuck them outside for the day on the porch to allow them to off-gas a bit.
I bought some black ASICS at Academy (I think they might be volleyball shoes). They hurt a bone above my little toe. These ASICS don't do that. They are more comfortable. The thing I like about ASICS is they are great if you have a narrower foot.
Stable and good fit.
Loved the look and build of the shoe but it was a bit snug. I didn’t feel it was a true Medium width.
