Their emphasis on comfort is evident, thanks to the ultra-cushioned sole that feels like walking on clouds. If you have specific needs regarding support, these sandals accommodate various weights effectively, making them suitable for a range of users.
The adjustable straps are a significant plus; they allow you to tailor the fit according to your preference, ensuring that your feet stay secure without unnecessary tightness. This feature is particularly beneficial for individuals with varying foot shapes, as well as those who seek a personalized fit for different activities.
Moreover, the non-slip soles offer admirable traction, which is essential when moving between environments—be it yoga studios, outdoor trails, or just casual walks around town. Pair this with the sandal’s quick-dry capability and waterproof material, and you’ve got a versatile footwear option that works in diverse situations.
However, potential buyers should note that the original packaging lacks a box, which may be a consideration for gifting purposes. Hands down the most comfortable shoes I own. I wear these constantly—at the beach, on walks, sightseeing on vacation, running errands, teaching all day, etc. They go with every outfit. Love the traction on the bottom and the squishy footbed. They are adjustable enough to accommodate my wide toe box and narrow heel, and I have them worn in just right so now I can slip them on and off easily. They do get stinky after lots of wear, so I wash them with antibacterial soap. I wear an 8.5 and bought a size 39.
I ordered Teva’s, Chacós, and these to test out for my upcoming trip to Thailand. I wanted something I could walk all day in, hike, and wear in the water. Very surprised to say these beat both the name brand sandals! The Teva straps chaff my toes when I walk, and Chacó’s are too narrow. These are definitely meant for someone with more narrow feet than mine but they aren’t uncomfortable at all! The straps are so soft and they feel like walking on a cloud. They don’t have arch support really at all but if like me you have low arches you’ll be just fine!
I have a hard time finding sandals I consider comfy. So many of them have weird shapes around the toes that cause the big toe to hang off the side. I like a little space between my toes and the edges. These are perfect. They’re cushy but solid, the straps don’t dig or scratch or anything, and the soles have some traction. They’re also very lightweight. I love these. I’m usually a US size 7.5, sometimes an 8 so the 7.5-8 of course fit perfectly. The strap says size 38 if that’s helpful for anyone. Made in Indonesia.
These shoes Artesia already comfy and are my day to day go to. They seem sturdy. I felt my foot slip a tad when going down hill but that could have been because they weren’t on tight enough. The grip seems good. The one thing I would say though is throat they are pretty narrow and I kind of already have narrow feet. Maybe I should have ordered a size up.
I bought these for a trip to Arches National Park and they were awesome! I've used them on nearly all my summer hikes so far and wear them every day.Pros:+Super comfortable. These became my go-to shoe for pretty much everything that's not a formal setting.+Adjustable straps, both over the toes, behind the ankle, and over the top of the foot.+Grips on the bottom of the shoes, which worked even on slick rocks while hiking to a waterfall+Worked great in water+The solid black color I bought is very nice and hasn't faded at all (in two months)+The shoes, Velcro and all, have held together very well for $30Cons:-The arch isn't super high, so if arch support is what you need, the support is minimal (I have low arches so this wasn't a problem for me)-The straps can loosen a bit over time. This might just be because I've been wearing them every day and using them in water frequently? In any case, I've had to slowly tighten them over time
I am normally a size 9M for shoes and 9-9.5 for sandals depending on the material. I ordered the 9.5-10 in these sandals. Lengthwise they fit as expected. Widthwise, after I adjusted the straps, my big toe bone/joint (no bunions) looks like it sticks about 1/4 in outside of the sole. I don't feel it when I walk, but when I look down I can definitely see it. So, it definitely looks like these sandals were made for slender feet. The sole is soft and feels bouncy. Haven't walked outside in them so I don't know what it would feel to walk on gravel or rocks. There is no arch support to speak of. The straps are long enough to go almost to the end of the velcro section when vecroed down. The only major issue I have with these sandals while I am trying them on around the house is that the little triangle piece that holds the straps in the front, at the little toe end, both dig into the little toes. I've tried pulling my feet back toward the heel, pushing them toward the front of the sandal.....no change. It digs in. Again, it may feel different on a slimmer foot. I'll wear them around the house for a few more days to see if anything changes. As of right now, my recommendation is that these sandals are for feet slimmer than a M width and don't tend to swell in the summer heat.
These are very similar in look to Tevas but better price, more comfortable and flexible. They are great for toe splay, light, cushioned with minimal arch support. Highly recommend.
I ordered these Tevas-look-alikes for an upcoming trip to SE Asia during rainy season. We're going to be traversing many miles a day, in both busy urban areas and jungles full of monkeys/elephants. I ordered both these shoes and the Teva Sanborn Universal (priced considerably higher) and tried both on, walking around my home and going about my evening making dinner, etc. These shoes were much more comfortable than I expected!!! The Tevas have a slightly higher/more elevated heel (probably thicker cushioning), but they also rubbed my ankles in a way that guaranteed I'd get blisters if I continued to wear them. These shoes did not rub anywhere and were more adjustable due to the back velcro across the heel (which the Tevas did not have - just thicker padding behind the heel). Overall, I think the footbed is thick enough to provide substantial cushioning for long days of walking and the straps are all 100% comfortable. I've since returned the Tevas and continued to wear these Gold Pigeon shoes to break them in before our travels, but its been almost unnecessary to break them in because they are 100% comfortable from the start! My husband also ordered Gold Pigeon shoes (the GP Simplus with magnetic closure) and reports the same - instantly comfortable, no break in period, have already withstood significant rainstorms/ activity and look new. Win-win!
