I wear these shoes every single day of the spring, summer, and into fall. I’ve had the pink ones for a few years now, and was worried they would wear out (they haven’t, it’s just my favorite and I don’t want to be left with out one, so I wanted a backup). Ordered the black ones off Amazon and I’m so happy!!!! Yes the strap does come lose, but I have small enough feet that I sew the strap down ( see the last picture). I ordered size 9.5 and it’s true to size. I wish they made more colors!!!! Huge fan. No other sandals compares. It fits my foot perfectly! A lot of other hiking sandals have too big of arch supports.. this one fits perfectly.
So, I bought these as kind of a Chaco knock off because A) I love Tevas and B) The Chaco foot bed does not work for my feet at all. I originally wanted the Sirra one, but found these and loved the color. I get them, try them on in the house. They fit, very comfortable yet supportive, lovely to look at. I take the tags off and commit to keeping them. On my first walk around the neighborhood I am made aware of some minor design flaws. The straps are not fully adjustable, they are sewn to the shoe at the front. I get that part, no one wants the thong of the shoe going too far one way or another, I let it go. Then, I realize that the straps will not stay tight on my feet no matter how tight I make them. Every step I take pulls the strap back through the buckle until the top strap is loose and floppy. The bottom strap stays at a firm tightness due to the sewing at the front, which I'm now glad for. I'm a little miffed, I can't return them because I've worn them outside. I'll try to wax the slippery strap and see if that solves my problem, but I feel like this is a lack of attention to detail.
the straps are not adjustable in the same way other Teva sandals are. The front band that is just below the toes cannot be adjusted for maximum comfort. Because of this, they were a little snug and I had to return them. If it were not for this design of sewing the straps in place, the sole would have been very comfortable.
PROS:-lightweight & comfortable-decent arch support-feminine, versatile style; unlike most clunky sport sandals, these would work with a sundress or skirt-the crossed strap over the foot is WAY more comfortable for me than the higher ankle strap on most sporty sandalsCONS:-the straps are sewn in place where they feed through behind the toes, which wasn't apparent in the pics. I occasionally need a 7/7.5 wide, and these would probably be uncomfortably snug for feet wider than mine.-the buckles slip/loosen as you walk, though for me it's not so bad that they're falling off. I tried wrapping athletic tape around the middle/sliding part of the buckle, which helps a little bit. I may end up stitching velcro on the strap if I have to.That said, I've been hunting for the perfect walking sandals for a month, and these were the most comfortable out of the 10+ pairs I've tried. I seriously hope Teva redesigns these with a velcro closure & straps that adjust/slide through in the front. A slightly deeper heel cup & higher arch "bump" wouldn't hurt either, just in case Teva is taking note of my wish list.
I feel these are true to size. I wore them, brand new, for 10 miles/30,000 steps in one day in NYC and they were great!
My feet have loved Tevas for almost 20 years and have multiple pairs. This sandal is going back and I want a refund! I wore these for the first time to church this morning and they are a huge dissappointment and annoyance! The straps keep coming loose and i tugged at them constantly. The DESIGN IS FLAWED. How Teva put these on the markey is beyond me! Just how incompetent and/or unethical is Quality Control at this once very dependable brand? The flawed straps and buckle are especially annoying because the foot bed is very comfortable.
Most comfortable sandal ever! Have worn them hiking and kayaking. Has a good hard sole ans nice arch support.
I really like the style as it's more feminine but the image is deceiving. It looks like the straps are all adjustable but the straps above the toe area are NOT. So you can loosen the straps above the foot area and in the heel but the ones above the toes are sewn in place. My feet tend to swell at the end of the day or if I have too much salt and the strap above my toes became too tight.
