The Teva Men's Zymic Sandal excels in various aspects that make it a worthy contender in the sandal market. First and foremost, its commitment to sustainability is commendable. The use of recycled materials signifies a step towards reducing environmental impact, appealing to the eco-conscious consumer.
In terms of comfort, the cushioned webbing upper combined with the soft and breathable recycled sandwich mesh heel strap provides a level of coziness that you might not expect from sandals. Whether you're out for a leisurely stroll or hitting the trails for a light hike, your feet will appreciate the thoughtful design.
With multiple adjustment points, obtaining the perfect fit is straightforward, ensuring that the sandals stay comfortably secured throughout your activities. The hook-and-loop closure simplifies putting them on and taking them off, which is an added convenience.
Performance-wise, the 30% recycled MAX-COMF sole technology sets a new standard for comfort. The dual-density foam bottom allows for immediate comfort while the thick responsive midsole ensures lightweight support and stability. This means you can spend the entire day on your feet without unnecessary fatigue.
However, it’s essential to note that if you're seeking something ultra-lightweight or extremely compact, the Zymic may feel bulkier than expected. Additionally, while the color options could be more varied, the dark olive and teal green combination offers a rugged aesthetic suitable for outdoor settings. Overall, the Teva Men's Zymic Sandal is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, eco-friendly sandal that doesn't skimp on comfort.

I did one of these try before you buy so I tried on a lot of sandals, Most of the Teva's the back strap was way too low. Other sandals were too firm or provided much-needed arch support. I have some neuropathy in my feet and these are so soft and cushy. Yet they secure my foot well. There is a good bit of space between my toes and the front of the sandal but I like that for protection against banging it on something while walking or hiking. I am happy seven pairs returned 2 kept I also liked a Skechers arch support sandal. I live at the beach so sandals are my choice 350 days a year.
The Zymic sandals seem to be a relatively new offering from Teva. The look, specifically the Z-straps, makes them very similar to the Chaco line of sandals. They are less adjustable and lighter, so they feel more like a standard Teva sandal. They are comfortable as everyday, casual sandals, and are most suited for that purpose. They can be used for basic hiking, but the tread isn't particular aggressive and I would recommend the Hurricane line for more serious hiking.5/31/22 UPDATE: I'm going to update my review to five stars. I've had these for a month now and they've been solid. Comfortable, easy to keep clean, but what I've discovered is these solve the biggest issue I have with Teva sandals, there is no foot movement. With the usual design, my feet will tend to slide a bit, especially vertical, no matter how tight the straps are. This is annoying when going uphill or downhill. It has to do with the design of the straps, because it happens no matter what size I wear. With the Zymic, I don't know what Teva changed, but my feet are solid. Going uphill or downhill, there is no movement. I suspect it's due to the Z-strap design, along with a slightly stickier footbed. But these are now largely my everyday, casual sandals. I do hope these are successful enough Teva considers making a "Trail" variant with a more rugged Vibram sole. Because those would probably be my perfect hiking sandals. As with most Teva sandals, I would recommend going down 1-2 sizes. I normally wear size 10 shoes, but Teva sandals need to be sized down twice for me. I bought these in size 8 and they fit perfectly.
I needed new sandals, and I had worn Teva's in the'90s when they were the thing. I decided to try these because of the thicker sole.GIGANTIC FOR NO REASON: I don't understand why companies cannot get shoes right. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10, depending on the shoe. With a 9.5, my longest toe is close to the end, but not at the end. Based on reviews, I got the 9, but needed an 8.NARROWER THAN THEY LOOK: My mid-foot tends to hand over the sides a touch. I have skinny feet, and this usually doesn't happen on my other sandals.UGLY: They look like toddler sandals on my feet.COMFORTABLE: I gave them 4 stars because they really are comfortable; they're just weird.
I wear size 12 and ordered 11's, they fit great. These, IMO run large so keep that in mind. Your foot molds to the bed of the sole and that's a good thing. This sole is really soft and provides lots great cushioning. This is not a great trail shoe because the sole is like a Croc sole. These soles are not "grippy" so remember not to go running around wet areas unless you have a doctor in the family. Strap system is very good and sandals stay put, once you adjust them. I am wearing these right now writing this review. If you are reading this you are looking at them like I was and I hope this info helps you!!
Great product good conditions.. thanks
These are falling apart less than six months after buying them. I loved how comfortable they were initially, but they did not last at all. I've worn Tevas since the late 80s and this feels like a shift in the company.Teva has always stood out for their construction. The loops always went all the way under the foot. This seemed to me to be the signature of the company. This led to greater durability and made it very unlikely that the straps would ever pull out. Well. Apparently times have changed and the Zymic straps do not wrap around the foot. I'm very disappointed. I wanted very much to like these sandals because they are out of the box super comfortable. Too bad they didn't hold up at all.
I purchased these because I was going on vacation and wanted sandals that were comparable to walking shoes I wear due to having Morten's Neuroma. I have ended up wearing them well past when I was on vacation, they are my daily shoes unless I am working in a capacity where I need more foot protection (working on vehicles in the garage, etc.). I wish Teva made full cover shoes with this same sole! My feet feel 100 times better when wearing them and keep the nerve in my foot from getting inflamed. Awesome sandals, please make some walking or running shoes out of the soles!
Got a used pair so I had to return them. It's too bad because they are an attractive sandal.
