The Teva Men's Hurricane 4 Sandal excels in versatility, making it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to combine adventure with comfort. The quick-dry webbing is particularly impressive, as it allows you to move seamlessly from hiking to water activities without having to change shoes. Its sturdy Durabrasion Rubber outsole provides outstanding grip on varied surfaces, which is crucial for stability when navigating uneven trails or slippery rocks.
The easy-to-use hook-and-loop closure gives you control over the fit, ensuring that the sandal remains snug yet comfortable, even during extended wear. One of the standout features is the cushioned Shoc Pad located in the heel, which greatly reduces impact on hard surfaces—an essential feature if you're planning on hiking or walking for long periods.
Care instructions indicate that you can machine wash these sandals, which adds to their practicality, especially post-adventure when they might be muddy or wet. However, some users may find them slightly bulkier compared to other minimalist sandals. Nevertheless, if you're in need of a durable, supportive sandal that can handle both light hikes and water excursions, the Teva Men's Hurricane 4 is an excellent option.

I have been a Teva guy for 30+ years now. I have tried the clones because Teva are overpriced and always come back to Teva. I have tried alternatives such as Keenes and always come back to Teva. Even with Teva, I get the buckle version ($$$) because I find that the Velcro wears out before the sandal wears out and the buckle eliminates this failure. And when I come back, I always wince at the cost but realize I am getting more when I pay more. They are more comfortable, they last longer, they are simply better even though the prices are higher. My last pair of buckle Teva just fell apart. Not the Velcro, not the buckle, not the soles, the straps. Maybe I got a bad pair and these simply wore out sooner? Whatever; it has left a bad taste in my mouth for what Teva charges that they have reduced quality to where the straps fall apart when they charge so much.So I tried the clone again. It didn't fit right, I returned it. So here I am again, buying Teva... They just fit better, they are more comfortable, and if they are cost-cutting and reducing quality (they don't wear like they used to), I will continue to try alternatives. However, credit where credit is due, I sucked it up and paid for the Teva.
I still have an old version of this sandal that I bought decades ago and have worn for many things over the years. I like the old pair so well I keep doing minor repairs and still use them as my "yard shoes". I've tried a couple of other brands since that purchase but they don't compare to the Teva. I thought it was time to try Teva again in search of that comfort and adjustability I had known for so long. I was pleasantly surprised that the new sandals are much like my originals and just as comfortable, I'm very happy with them. If they hold-up as well as my last pair I'll likely never need to buy another pair of sandals.
Bought this sandals when i went to costa rica for a 10 day trip. Very durable and waterproof . Wore it almost everyday from the mountains to the sea.
It worked well in sand as long as it didn't get wet sand under the straps. Sadly I bought it for that purpose. I have to stand in the water to fish and wanted shoes that could get wet and not become painful or fall apart. These do seem well made and will probably last. They are comfortable as long as the sand you are on is dry and falls out of the shoe while walking on the beach. But if it gets wet, it rubs and starts making blisters.
I've been using Teva sport sandals since 1997. I remember seeing them on someone on a long walk, and immediately realized I would like those too and put to frequent use. This is still the case. Each pair lasts about five years I would say.The previous pair, the only one to do this, had both soles come off after 1.5 - 2 years (I saw this reported by many in reviews on Teva sandals when I was shopping around for the replacement recently. The pairs before that never had this problem, as many also report. So it seems Teva changed their glue?). I glued the soles back on using two-component glue and they then held for another three years making it to age five as well. Perhaps that will happen with these as it seems to be an issue reported with many Teva models. With all Teva sandals, I had to break them in. Typically, the side pads cause some friction on the sides of my feet. Not with this pair! These were immediately comfortable. In fact, rather than breaking them in inside the house, I immediately went for a 20-minute walk without any discomfort. It has been like that since.Typically, my size is 10.5, sometimes 11, but with Teva, I always get size 10. Perhaps it's the lack of socks. So, so far I'm really satisfied. I always update my reviews when my opinion changes or I need to add something.
I love my Teva sandals, I would where them year round if I could. Great support on feet, I like the velcrow straps makes them easy to wear and can adjust them very easily. There very rugged and wear very well. Great price, great pair sandals very well designed for comfort & ease. & great look excellent service & price
My 15 year old Tevas finally died and I bought a pair of Sketchers. While comfortable, they did not fit properly and my feet slipped in them when wet. I broke down and bought another pair of Tevas and now I am very happy with the way they work.
These are the classic design and fit well. My last pair lasted over 10 years so I hope these last at least half as long.
