The Teva fisherman sandals arrived two days early! As soon as I received them I put them on and was immediately struck by how comfortable they were. I could easily wear them on a day hike. I’ve owned Teva sandals before and have always been impressed with how well made they are.
These come in a few different colors. I have two pairs. The first pair I bought for kayaking and other water activities when I need more foot protection and support than a pair of flip flops or traditional krocs for fast water and rocky bottoms. These are great because they have a closed toe (no stubbed toes on the rocks), a hook/loop strap around the ankle that doesn't come loose, and are entirely made of synthetic materials that don't absorb water and dry quickly. The foot bed is smooth, doesn't collect dirt or sand and so far remains odor free. The tread on the bottom is durable and has good enough grip when wet but is not a soft, grippy dedicated water tread, but I am OK with that.I bought another pair because they seem nice enough that I could wear them as a daily, closed-toe sandal.Regular price on these seems a bit high but it is possible to sometimes find them on sale.Overall a great sandal. Hopefully they last a long time.
The hiking sandles were better than i expected. Fit comfortably and secure.
This is a sturdy sandal whose size fits as expected. If you have a narrow foot like I do the medium is perfect. If wider definitely go for the wide size.
Price point good, footbed material does not make my feet stink like Keen sandals do, however, straps that retain heel sit too high and cuts into ankle, is this due to poor design, or, poor quality control at the manufacturing level?
My husband loves these shoes. He has worn then for over a month now and they are holding up great. They dry fast when wet and keep his feet cool in the heat. Definitely recommend.
Who thought wrapping hard plastic around your heel was a good idea!I liked the look of these shoes, and needed some replacement "water friendly" shoes, so I ordered these. There is NO padding around the heels and ankles. It's literally the same hard plastic material that makes up the foot bed. After wearing for a few hours with some light walking (around Costco and back home), I had an open blister just belowmy right outer ankle bone and a blister starting on my left heel.I bought these early, and by the time I really walked in them it was too late to return them, or I would have. Now I have to resort to silicone tape or some other form of blister tape when I wear them.
I bought for hiking on a Hawaii trip. They seemed very Comfortable at home. My foot fit the shoe very well. First use in Hawaii they bolstered both feet. The straps are a rubbery material and rub below the ankles severely. I had to take them off. The straps are just too uncomfortable. I had to switch back to flip flops. I had high hopes since I didn’t want to spend the money on Keens and the price was right. I should have spent the extra money.
