The shoes are pretty, comfortable, durable, and supportive. I often go hiking in them and have no issues. They're also so much cheaper than Chacos which I appreciate. I love them so much that when my dog ate and destroyed mine, I immediately got more of the exact same shoes. 10/10 would recommend.
My Purchase: Size 10My Experience:I am a plus size person, so my foot may be *larger* on top than those not plus size. I usually wear a 9.5/10 depending on the shoe manufacturer.I have worn these shoes on a few Texas river trips and on a visit to a 20 acre water park. For those not familiar with either experience you will have lots of walking, sharp rocks at the river, potential shoe loss from natural river current or massive waves at the water park. The shoe fits perfectly on my foot. Throughout all of the walking (even through water resistance) the shoe straps remained strong. The chlorine did not fade the color of the straps. The BIGGEST win for me with these shoes is they do not rub and give blisters - Regardless of being wet or dry. I never felt like the shoe would fall off, even when being thrown through rapids or park rides. The sole of the shoe is nice and thick. Walking over rocks and potential glass was not a concern for me as it would have been had I worn thinner flip flops.I would recommend these to anyone searching for water friendly sandals.
Great deal...but comments about not being able to adjust around the ankle are accurate. Too loose and no good way to adjust any of the straps. The other issue? While these are listed as gray-they are actually gray and, of all things, pink. I think they were a good deal because they were returns. Super comfortable and great if you have thicker ankles. But zero people who order gray want pink.
Great walking sandals, high arch support, wore them day 1 eight hours at a festival with no issues! Hooray!
I have wanted a pair of Chaco's for a while now, but they typically aren't in my price range. I came across these Sketchers and decided to give them a try....I'm so glad I did! They are perfect. I wore them all summer. They were a bit tight the first wear or two but became better with wear. I got them for all kinds of outdoor activities - short hikes, gardening, water play - and they have been exactly what I hoped for. The shoes stay in place. I even jumped out of my canoe to help a friend who had turned over and they didn't slip or come loose in the muddy river bottom. They are easy to clean which is important for me. They go great with shorts or jeans. So glad I purchased and I would purchase them again!
I normally wear 9.5, but since these don’t come in half sizes, I opted to go with a 10 rather than 9 because some reviews complained of straps rubbing. I wish I had gone with the 9. Not only are they too long (about an inch too long), but the straps are way too big around my heel, causing the strap to completely slide off and under my foot. If the back strap were adjustable these would be manageable. The straps seem to fit ok enough everywhere else. Honestly, I think a 9.5 would have been too big as well. So I’d recommend, if you normally wear a half size, go down rather than up in size. Other than running big, the shoe is great. They have good tread and are pretty comfortable.
I got a lightly used pair (though it didn't look like it) and it was exactly as described (one strap was much looser on the left toe). It was half the price and definitely worth it. The fit was great and they're very comfy. Also very reliable and lightweight. However, there was a short breaking-in period required. But then they were fine for the rest of the season. Had to break them in for one day again the following season. Overall, highly recommend!
I have several nice & stylish pairs of Sketcher sneakers and I initially read the reviews for these sandals before purchasing but sometimes the reviews may not always reflect the product accurately. I loved the style and print of the shoe & the fact that I could get them in time for the following day's festivities at 6 Flags was an added bonus. I had never owned a sneaker-sandal & didn't care for them. But what appealed to me with these was that unlike sneakers these allowed the feet to breathe comfortably especially if you're spending all day in the hot sun at an amusement park. I was disappointed after trying them on. The right shoe toe strap with the big toe felt really tight while the one on the left fit perfectly. I didn't have the time to run to a dept store to buy a similar shoe so I assumed they were probably like sneakers. I decided to try "breaking them in" the day I got them. It wasn't a success & unfortunately even though I decided to wear them that day but took my sneakers as a back up the shoe was extremely uncomfortable and wished I never spent $40 on it. It is disappointingly not worth it!
