When it comes to sandals, comfort is essential, and the Reef Men's Swellular Cushion Lux Sandal excels in this area. The synthetic nubuck upper not only looks good but also feels great against your skin. The soft textile lining of the straps prevents chafing, making these sandals perfect for long walks on the beach or casual outings with friends.
The compression molded EVA footbed provides an incredibly cushioned feel which absorbs impact well, essential for those who spend extended time on their feet. Additionally, being PVC-free is a significant advantage for environmentally conscious consumers. While some users might find these sandals run slightly larger than expected, the overall fit is quite forgiving due to the slip-on design.
In terms of style, the brown/gum color scheme adds versatility, allowing you to pair them with shorts, jeans, or swimwear effortlessly. While the selection of colors may be limited, the timeless design of the Reef sandals makes them a reliable choice season after season.

I was already a big fan of Reef based on my worn out old pair of flip flops. My first pair is now seven years old, and still wearable, and they were the most comfortable and durable I'd ever owned. My second pair lasted a few months before they broke, but I'm hoping that was a fluke. I bought two more pair while they were on sale, and was pleased with both as far as comfort, price, and style goes, but this pair in particular - AMAZING! It's like I'm walking on clouds. Time will tell if they hold up like my first pair. They look good, and I got them for 20 bucks right here on Amazon. You simply cannot go wrong with this model - walking on clouds!I ordered the same size I wear in tennis shoes and they fit well, or perhaps slightly larger than you'd expect.
I have worn Reef flip flops for years and practically live in them. I usually buy a new pair every other year. I have tried Rainbows, Sanuks, and other brands of flip flops, but Reefs are my favorite! These are comfortable, have great arch support, and have a super grippy footbed that does not allow your foot to slide around if it is wet. These also dry very quickly after getting wet, so they are great for pool, gym, and beach (in addition to everyday wear). I have worn these daily for a few months and they are my new favorite Reef model. One caveat: For Reef flip flops, I always order a size up from my typical shoe size. I'm usually a US size 10wide, and the size 11 Reefs fit me perfectly. I don't know if this is true for Reef's other models, but it is definitely true for the several models of Reef flip flops I have bought over the years.
Bought these for my boyfriend and he says they are comfortable and fit well but with the neoprene foot strap his feet stink terribly. Do not buy these because your feet will stink. Bought him a different brand of flip flop and no problems.
I received the sandals a day early which was great...nice looking sandals at first glance...a bit snug at first but I soaked them in water and wore them for about an hour...wanted to wear them the next day so I had to speed break them in...next day wore them all day and now they are perfectly sized to my foot ... only issue I had with these sandals were these little nubs that were sticking up out of the footbed around the edge which made it uncomfortable when i stepped into the sandal ... so I took a nail clipper and clipped them all off to make the edge nice and smooth ... had them for 4 days now and they are perfect ... hopefully the arch support does not drop over time and the squishy sole is durable
My shoe size is 12.5, but the 13 of this sandal had straps that were very tight. Now, normally I might have tried to break the shoe in & see if they loosened up. However, the feather foam cushioning was IMO inferior to both the Phantom/Slap/Fanning & Flex style cushioning. It was certainly soft...just too thin for my liking. Love Reef sandals, just not these. They got returned. YMMV.
I've been wearing these for a month now and love them so far. They have all of the qualities I look for in flip flops - comfort, a solid arch, good heel cup, and a simple/understated good look. The arch and heel cup fit are similar to my Chaco Flips, but the Reef's have more give, which makes them more comfortable than the Chacos. My only reservation is how long the cushioning will last. For the price, I would expect the heel bed to not just collapse after a couple months of wear. Of course, that's why my Chaco Flips have lasted 8+ years now - they were never squishy to begin with. Maybe we just don't have the technology yet for a long lasting squishy flip flop foot/heel bed. . .Update 5/30/17:As I suspected, the heel cushioning didn't hold up for long - maybe 2 months of semi-regular use. They're still good sandals - just not as comfortable as they were when new. Part of the problem is that the heel bed is thin to begin with and once it naturally compresses with use it provides very little padding. I stopped wearing them if I had to go anywhere that required even a moderate amount of walking around.
My boyfriend wanted sandals that were extremely comfortable so I though these would be great for him. While the base of the sandal has a lot of cushion, the straps seem to be a bit tight. I wouldn't say that he has wide feet so I was surprised that he had difficulty putting them on. They originally left deep marks on his foot after taking them off, however now that he's worn them for a few days they have stretched out just fine.
These are the best flip flops reef makes in my opinion. Especially for the price. I live in south Florida so I wear flip flops year round and have for years, so I have tried a lot of them. I have slightly wide feet so for whatever reason most flip flops cause my heel to sit off to the side, these to not do that at all. Since I first bought these 6 years ago I have gone through about 6 pairs. I am really hard on my flip flops and I have only had these blow out once. They have great arch support, and a perfect amount of cushion. I don't understand why you would want any less cushion the sole wears out at about the same rate as the cushion compresses. The last about 8-12 months before you need new ones with heavy wear. I've tried many others and always come back to these. Oh and you want them to be a little tight cause they will stretch a bit after a week or two.
