After a couple tries, I found a size that sort of works. The arch sits way to low on these slides. My normal size is 8.5 to 9. I tried both size 8 and 9 and the arch hit too far below where I needed it. I tried a size 7 just to see and finally! that arch matched my arch. I can wear this smaller size...only because of the open toe. It fits..but just barely. I like the lightness of these slides.**update**I have owned these slides for almost a year now. I am very happy I bought them. I have worn them every single day. They are my everyday house shoe. My feet love the arch support. These slides are very lightweight..yet tough. I throw them in the washing machine every other week...usually with a load of jeans. Then air dry them. So..after all these months of daily wear and repeated washings...they are still strong and show minimal wear. Just slightly faded. I'm ordering one more pair..just in case something happens to my first pair. I would hate to be without them. I am adding an another star.***2 year update***My slides are still going strong after 2 years of almost daily wear. The stitching on one small area started to unravel, but a dot of superglue stopped that immediately. My trusty slides are slightly faded from being in the washing machine a couple times a month, but other than that, they have held up spectacularly. I am adding another star.*** 3 Year Update***The slides are alive and well! They are still worn everyday. I continue to throw them in the washing machine every month. Last year, I ordered a 2nd pair of slides for back up. I haven't worn them yet because my first pair is literally indestructible. My slides definitely look worn, a little faded. However, they remain as comfortable as ever and the arch support is still strong. I have no plans to retire these slides. My feet are happy.
Loves these they are very comfortable, great support. I always add bling to them , which improves the looks by leaps and bounds. I wear them almost every day. I have to replace about once a year for consistent support.
The shoe is of hard plastic like materials. The food bed is also firm, but shaped to support the arch and heel. Purchased for post-op purposes of a bunionectomy this shoe failed. Tried on by someone with a sprained ankle, it also failed. The materials are to hard and stiff, inflexible. My feet are narrow, but even my non surgical foot did not like being tightly crammed in. I could not fit my surgical foot in past the toes. Returned as it did not serve my purpose. I did purchase their slippers that have give, support, and comfort.
I have tried a lot of different footwear and inserts and have been disappointed. But these sandals Totally relieved my plantar fasciitis. I wear them every day to office, to beach, out walking. My only complaint is the stretch out a little too much and become a little too loose. But other than that, I love them. They are amazing. I am hoping this company makes a sneaker also!
I have been suffering with plantar fasciitis pain for about 2 years. My podiatrist recommended PowerStep brand insoles. Then I saw that PowerStep also makes sandals. Best purchase ever! My pain was immediately relieved and I have been able to exercise again. That being said the top is a stretchy elastic. It does rub against my foot. It's getting better as I break the shoes in. I think PowerStep also has a version with an adjustable top strap that you may want to consider. But for me, these shoes are amazing. I normally wear a 7 to a 7&1/2. The 7 fit me perfectly.
Wanted a good supportive sandal to wear inside the house. The support on this is great. My problem lies on the safety of them. The Velcro keeps popping open and as I’m walking the shoe comes off. This has been a major concern for me especially when I’m on the stairs. The shoe would be great if they changed how it closed.
Good arch fit even compared to my custom arch inserts. Updated~The platform it very firm, as most podiatrists recommend, but for plantar fascia pain the heel it too hard and makes me wish I could add a piece of soft foam of some sort... Still glad to have them for summer. Wish there were other top styles and colors.. Nice to be able to get out of full closed toe shoes needed for custom orthotic.~ Increased to 5 stars - 8 months of daily use. After a while I became used to heel and love these... I have very high arches and these really help prevent pain. Still not as good as custom for longer walks but love and will shop for colors soon.
Several times the Velcro comes open and I walk right out of the shoe. This only happens on the left shoe. I can’t wear them in public.
