Love this shoe. So comfortable and cute. Bought to wear hiking in Kauai. It does run a whole size large, however. I returned these and ordered one size down.
Love the comfort with walking and fit. Nothing to dislike!
Critiques are true… they may not fit everybody because they are non-typical Merrells, fit-wise. My pics show size 9 and I usually order 9.5/10 depending on styles w Merrells. (I have many bc of hip & back issues.) So they DO run long. I have medium width feet that fill up the width of these when I’m standing. I’m lucky … with the size modification (thx prev posters) these fit MY feet perfectly. Now if they break in easily & survive my summer I’ll change my rating to 5 stars!
I ordered close to 30 pair of sandals across five brands in search of a pair that's supportive, functional, and relatively cute, having come from the world of barefoot everything but with a recent shin injury. These were among the first to arrive, and were a solid 'Maybe' during my try-on process, but once I got to the end, including some Teva styles, I realized they mostly ticked the boxes, and so they stayed. Most importantly: you'll probably want to size WAY down. I'm an 8 in Merrell's 'Glove' line, and between a 7 and 7.5 in most flat sandals. I ordered the 7, expecting a perfect fit — and instead, had almost an inch gap across the tops of my toes. I swapped out for a 6, which fits perfectly — these are indeed narrow, as other reviewers have mentioned, and while my feet pretty much fill out the width to their furthest points, I've still got decent toe space, and the arch support aligns perfectly with my soles (higher arches, low volume). I've also got this weird thing about needing both 1. a toe post and 2. to feel "strapped in" with my shoes, so there are definitely added points there. But, yeah: the sizing is weird.A few areas that could use improvement: I wish the diagonal strap across the top of the foot was adjustable — I can imagine that over time, as it's a cotton-y fabric, it could grow loose/stretched with wear — and the plastic pieces that hold the straps look cheap. The toe post area, too, is not adjustable; if you have smaller toes, that looseness could contribute to a "slip" in the sandal. I'm somewhat in the middle about the foam used in the footbed: it feels akin to a styrofoam used in a cooler than something plush/responsive, though the added traction on the bottom of the sandal is nice. Again, these are $85 sandals — compared to sneakers I wear that are double that price and have the added shock technology, etc., I kept my expectations in check. Finally, they're actually pretty cute — so much so that I've temporarily put my search for a dressier/leather pair in addition on hold for now, as I can at least wear these with a sundress or jeans and still look put together.TL, DR: size at least one full size down (it's a shame these weren't offered in half sizes); some of the textiles can cause irritation but will feel better once you've worn them a few times; they're moderately supportive, but don't expect sneaker-like technology; cute, and easy to put on/take off — lightweight, and will travel well, I'm sure.
Wife loves them. Fit well. Comfortable. Last a long time.
Love it. I have the Paloma, goes well with anything and everything. Very comfortable. Slightly narrow and long but it doesn’t make me skip or trip. Best of all, I got it for $44 here on Amazon va $59. at the Merrell outlet.
Love these .. wish they were a little less earthy looking and they are wearing out a little
I wanted to love these SO BAD. But the toe string hurts really bad. It’s hard, I can’t even walk around the house for a few steps without discomfort. The sole was comfy and they were lightweight but felt pretty flimsy. Ended up getting chacos instead.
