Our family has consistently worn Keen shoes for the durability and support they provide. My son and husband had been wearing the Targhee shoe for quite some time until my son asked for a shoe that was not so chunky. I searched and found this Merrell Nova. Instantly, my 15-year-old son was sold. He loved the lightweight feel of the shoes on his feet as well as the comfort and support they provided. Once my husband saw how nice they looked, he wanted a pair as well. My son has worn his shoes consistently for since the beginning of the year and they still look great.

I was hoping for a great hiking shoe. I switched to Merrell from a different make of hiking shoe thinking it would be a change for the better. I regretted make a change to this Merrell shoe. I'll just wear when non hiking. Too soft of a sole, too loose, foot shifted after tightening.
Great fit. Haven't worn them hiking yet but better fit than any other trail shoe. Seems all other brands are moving to a really narrow toe probably to save 8 cents. These are perfect for a normal foot.
