I ordered these to replace a pair of Tevas that were awful and are going back to the seller. The Keens cost a little more, but they are everything I want and need in a sandal. The hard parts (hard plastic fasteners and a ring) are padded underneath to protect the foot, the arch support is great, and the footbed is comfy. The sole provides good traction. They are absolutely true to size and I love the design and color! (Straps across my instepmust be avoided, as they cause my extensor tendonitis to flare up.) I know they’ll last many summers, as have other Keens I’ve owned. I couldn’t be more pleased.
I was looking for a quality outdoor sandal that I could still feel cute wearing and these fit the bill perfectly. Good tread and a study sole and both straps are fully and easily adjustable. The top strap wraps more around than across the foot (if that makes sense) which makes them really comfortable. The way it adjust also goes all the way around for a perfect fit. I have a slightly wider foot and was happy that these fit despite not coming in a wide width. Overall I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
I so badly wanted to like these but though they felt comfortable at first, I had awful point pressure pain on my left foot that reminded me too much of the plantar fascitis I've suffered from previously. I think it may be because the arch support is not as high as the Keen Whisper style. The adjustable straps work great if you have a bunion etc. The ankle straps are adjustable though very fiddly, I could never get them to feel comfortable, they were either too tight or too lose. I sadly have had to return them though I tried very hard to get them to work for me.
I have two other styles that are extremely comfortable and fit perfectly.You cannot really adjust these at all. And they are not as comfortable as my others I would not buy these again.

I had these on for less than 15 minutes and there’s no way that I would be able to use them I immediately exchanged them. The front strap supports are covering my toes instead of Just behind my toes where I would need it to be supported. I have never worn a pair of hiking type sandals that were this uncomfortable. And it wasn’t because there wasn’t comfort available.
These are NOT GOOD ON INCLINES!!! My heels slide off the back of the shoe by at least an inch on an inclines and it’s worse when the shoes are wet. I think the problem might be that the entire ankle strap is attached too far back on the sole, so no matter how tight I adjust them (YES the ankle/heel straps are adjustable and I tried this) they won’t keep my foot forward when on an incline. Also, the plastic buckles randomly pop open by themselves. My experience has been really disappointing. I took these to Hawaii after wearing them several days on LEVEL terrain, and they failed terribly on inclines and bouldering. Perfect for a nice long, LEVEL walk though, even with my bunion, and they saved me at the airport and around town, and they’re cute, but that’s not why I bought them, so no more than 2 stars! If you want to actually HIKE a mountain, or even just up a hill, please take my advise and keep looking! I’d hate for someone to buy these and end up as disappointed as I am. I gave mine to someone who needed shoes for casual walking.
I really love these sandals. They fit my feet very comfortably and the sole of the shoe doesn’t get those dark stains. I was buying sandals with the cloth soles and after a while they would get those dark stains/foot imprints, which made it hard to clean and remove the stain. These shoes are different. You don’t hardly get the stains and if there is a slight stain, it washes right out. They look brand new. I liked them so much that I bought the blue pair as well. Hopefully they will come out with other colors like red, green, black and purple. Well I’m going to look and see if they have other colors. 😉
