For years I have been looking for a sandal that covers my toes, stays on my feet securely, comfortable, and doesn't look like I took them out of my grandmother's closet or just climbed Mount Everest-- which were the only sandals that checked all of those boxes until now. I was a little worried with some of the photos that they would make my feet look like those of a platypus, but they are actually cute and more conforming than they appear in the pictures. If I can offer some input though I would say the same thing that others have said in the reviews-- go up half a size from your normal. I'm not going thru the hassle to return them, but they are snug and I would have been much happier with a little more room. Hopefully they will stretch after some wear. I will definitely order these again!
Love these Keen sandals. They are lightweight, cool and pretty darn cute. Colors matched the photo too.I walked all over Croatia this summer, it was hot and my feet stayed cool. Definitely recommend these sandals.
They fit perfect. They are very very comfortable. They move with your foot. It’s almost like you have nothing on your foot, and they match in array of colors in my wardrobe.
I bought these as a gift! I love the colors and I love how it looks on my friend. She’s very happy with them. I have a pair of myself, so I thought I’d get her a pair and we both love them. They’re good water shoes are very flexible. Very comfortable.
I really like how sharp these sandals look, not to mention how comfortable they are. They do seem to run true to size, so I am glad I did not go down a half size. It took a few times of wearing them to break them in - for me. I still get the indents from where the cording hits my feet, but I think that is due to my feet being on the wide side, but I still find them comfortable to wear. I believe the only width these come in are "D", so if you are needing wider - you may want to find something different.
....This is what it would grow up to look like.I've been wanting a pair of summer sandal/shoes that will take me for long walks without hurting me or building up summer heat. Something that has some support, but in which socks are not needed and which have lots of air passing through. Most sandals just don't have enough [toe] protection and most sneakers make my feet too hot. These looked like they might be a good solution, and they are but it took a bit for me to find the right size.Normally an 8.5 or a 9 at most, I needed these in a 9.5. The 9 fit, but I could tell that the "macrame" was going to be a problem for my big toe after a while. I've never worn a 9.5 in any shoe but decided to give them a try. Perfect. They're airy and comfortable. No more sweaty summer feet for me.Here's what everyone wants to know.... Yesterday was my first day in these and I had a little rubbing away of skin on my middle toe (one foot only). I put a bandaid on and today decided to throw caution to the wind as I took a walk for an hour or so just to see how they felt. I figured an hour wasn't long enough to make me miserable if they were really uncomfortable but it was long enough to give these a good enough work out. So far so good. I was very very comfortable in them and absolutely no more skin rubbed off. The footbed feels very natural. I will update this review if anything changes. Now as for whether these are cute or ugly? I guess it's a little bit of both. I've decided to call these cute. You might have different ideas. They really do remind me of the progeny from a huarache and docksider union. I purchased my first pair (not from amazon, but from my other favorite online website which shall remain nameless) in both the yellow and the blue. The blue was a bit too overwhelming for my taste. The yellow was on the edge enough without falling off ;-) I came back here to amazon to purchase my second pair. I also purchased a pair for a friend who absolutely loves his (he, too needed a half size up from his usual size)BOTTOM LINE: if, like me, you hate having hot feet but you like to walk and want more support and coverage than the average sandal, AND you don't mind being a bit out there with your footwear, these are an excellent choice. Order one half size larger than you would normally wear and you should be fine
I love these shoes! Super comfortable and fun. As other's have stated, these do run slightly short, but this may be due to the heel strap. The heel strap on my Keen Whispers is a little thinner and loose and allows my heel to rest farther back on the base on the shoe until I tighten them. The heel strap on these is super comfy but it's thicker and therefore keeps the foot farther forward in the shoe. Not a problem, just a little difference I noticed which might be why we are experiencing them as tiny bit "short". I wear an 8.5 or 9 in the Whispers and ordered a 9 in these. My longest toe just touched the cord at the toe of the shoe when I first put them on, but they seem to have stretched a little as I've worn them and now they rarely and/or barely touch. I anticipate that the 9 will be fine, especially if it continues to conform and loosen a little in the heel area, but I ordered another pair of these with the flat cord in a 9.5 to see if I like the extra half size larger and can update when I receive those! I have a narrow foot and I do not have to cinch them tightly in order to make them feel secure, but my mom has wider feet and has also worn Uneeks comfortably. I don't wear them with socks, but if you're planning to do so at any point, definitely go that half size larger than your normal "keen size". The footbed is super soft and comfy with decent arch support. Mine are the Dress Blues and the colors are great. Not too bright and go great with jeans. These are quickly becoming my fav sandal over my Tevas, Chacos, Birkenstocks, and even edging out my Whispers in terms of comfort when playing outside with my kids and running about for errands, trips to the park, and such. The style is fun and a little edgy, but I don't think you'll be disappointed with these!
