These are described as "casual" footwear in all the selling text I've seen. They are suitable for dress clothes being very attractive and tasteful. They are much more than a "casual" wear shoe. I wear these for work on concrete all day operating a truck frame alignment machine as well as steel fabrication. These and another Keen model (either/or) have outlasted every brand of work boot, work shoe I have ever owned for the last 43 years. All while giving superior support and comfort and I've never had any of them de-laminate the rubber from the leather at anywhere on the shoe and I get down on my knees as well as climb around on heavy equipment with them daily. All other brands I've had split the rubber outsole away from the leather uppers at the toe eventually, not Keen though. I don't intend to look anywhere else in a brand of shoes again as long as they keep making these the same way in the future.
These were a gift for a friend who job requires him to stand on his feet for 10-11 hours per day. I’ve been wearing keen shoes for years and told him he would appreciate these shoes and he has said they are the most comfortable work shoes he has ever had. Worth every penny, and my shoes last for 6-7 years—I have several pairs that I rotate to extend the life of them.
I almost exclusively purchased keen shoes for more than 10 years due to their ample width and overall rominess accommodating my hobbit feet without feeling sloppily oversized. Something happened about a year and a half or two years ago and models that I used to buy no longer fit in the sizes I used to count on. Sizing up it doesn't work because then the shoes are too long and I wind up dragging my toes. This one, while I can actually get my foot in it, is still tighter than my last pair purchased a number of years ago. Unfortunately this shrinking trend seems to extend to other models as well.
I've worn many Keens in the past - all comfortable and never an issue. These arrived, were worn around the house and caused such pain in my feet that I couldn't believe they were even Keens. Although they were new, the shoes were extremely rigid and not comfortable by any means. I noticed the shoes are made in India- the Keens I used to buy were not. Oh well. It appears as though Keen is no longer a choice for me when it comes to shoe-buying.
Not a fan of the two tone
My husband loves these shoesVery comfortable
Shoe is a little stiff and does take a little break-in time. Do not expect to wear for a long time right out of the box. Outsider of that it is made well and is comfortable to wear, looks good with just about anything except shorts or dress pants.
I buy these for my husband over and over again. They last a long time but he eventually wears them out. They never disappoint and are comfortable for his difficult feet!
