I have never had a simple, inexpensive, basic, rubber flip flop before, so I am walking in with no expectations. Though, I did do some research and from the reviews these seemed to be on the upper end of quality for this type of sandal. Surprising not the upper end of the price though...very reasonably priced.First time I put them on, I was not impressed. A little narrow for my foot. The straps are a little loose and fall very far forward on my foot (close to the line of the base of your toes, where they connect to your foot - there is a word for that...don't know what it is). Foot bed feels nice, dense, substantial, light, and very comfortable, and very grippy sole (impressed with that, have not had them wet yet, that is the big test). No arch support what so ever. I am dead on size 13, and there is not much room left fore and aft. I did have to figure out how to walk in these, they walk a little different than other sandals. Probably not particular to these, but to this type of sandal. And they are not what i would choose for a hike or long walk. They do make the 'flop' sound a little more when you walk. Mostly due to the strap falling so far forward on your foot, so the footbed is not supported/secured closer to your foot.Note: I work from home and it is summer, so I wear flip flops almost predominately. I usually wear Chacos, OluKai, Reef, Cobain, and Rafters (have 'opinions' about each). They are all more sport oriented type sandals (heavy, arch support). So, I said I will wear these around the house to get a good feel for them...then pass judgement. I got into my day, and then realized much later in the day when I took the dog and trash out that I had forgotten and still had these on....so I guess they are mine now! That was yesterday...I have not taken them off, and was pleased to put them back on this morning. Again, I have not gotten them wet and that is the big test where most of my others fail miserably. Foot slips on the footbed and sole slips on wet surface.Walking in with low expectations really helps, as well as I am excited to try something new/different. But, so far, these are doing great...for what they are.Well, that got long...sorry. So, long story short...I am very pleased with my purchase. Looking forward to the use that these will get. Looking at other Havaianas...yeah I don't know how to pronounce it either. No matter, they make great sandals.
I purchased a pair of Havaiana flip flops at Nordstrom 5 years ago for $26. They are so comfortable and well made. They fit TTS and are still made in Brazil. My Havaianas were still going strong up until this summer when the navy color was starting to rub onto the bottoms of my feet. This was likely due to me leaving them on the deck outside over multiple summers. The UV probably deteriorated the footbed. I've taken these on vacations, grilled in them weekly during spring/summer and use them in the gym's shower. One of my most reliable buys. I got these for $10 on amazon this year! I love the all black, with no branding or frills. Must buy.
These are the best. They run a bit large
Always use these at home, and great for beach too but the thong type are not so durable. They always break at the top so these need to be replaced after about a year or so
Great sturdy flip flops with good traction on the bottoms! They fit great !
this sandal is cut small, my man is a 10.5 I bout size 11-12 after reading reviews and it fit him almost too small.
I love these, they are worth the 20 dollars, which is sometimes considered expensive for flip flops. But they are worth the extra money. And they are cheaper than recognized brands like teava.Like advertised, they have great traction, they don’t squeak and they have good support. I can wear them comfortably all day, and I am picky about foot wear.
I bought these flip flops to replace a second order of Quicksilver of the same kind. The pair in the second order was not like the pair of the first order--soles were stiff and inflexible and generally not comfortable. This pair of Havaianas was just what I wanted. They feel just right. If you have a 7-1/2 size of shoe, this size 8 will do quite well.G.B.
