These are good summer beater shoes that you know you can rinse the sand off of & keep it moving, but I wouldn’t go on any sort of long walk on wearing these. You could, but I think your feet would get too sweaty. They were comfortable right out of the package, day one, minute one, with no adjustments. That rarely happens for me. I find them true to size but there’s a Velcro strap over the top of your foot that allows you to adjust width. Usually my knees are ruined for days after wearing new shoes, but I wore them all day for a couple of days without any worsening knee pain.
Yes! Thank you, thank you! I usually use an orthotic insert in my shoes, and was in search of a sandal to wear in the house without the orthotic. I stumbled across these and this is the closest slide I have found that fits the bill. I have an arch on the higher side & narrow to medium width foot due to slight bunions. I would say this sandal in M width runs on the side of narrow. Birkenstocks (the insole is similar to Birkenstock) do not have a high enough arch and Vionics have an arch that is too high. I normally wear a 10 1/2 in New Balance, but lately, a lot of shoes have been running large. I ordered a 10 1/2-11, and it fits perfectly. I can tighten the straps enough for my narrower foot. The slide has a bit of rebound/resilience to it and little suction cups on the sole for wet surfaces (if you're using them poolside). My only wish is that they came in more colors--even tan, to go with everything. I'd order them again.

They do run a little large, so I am sending one pair back and ordered the next size down. But, even in the too long one, I can tell they are amazing. I have very flat feet and that causes my knees and hips to hurt. If the arch is too high on a shoe or insert, the arch hurts like walking on a golf ball. These have the highest arch I can tolerate and it keeps my ankles and knees aligned properly. Some sandals with good support are made of a soft material that shrinks in the sun. These are rubber and feel like they will last rather than compress down or shrink in the sun. I used to like Okabashi shoes for this reason, but their massage bumps hurt my bare feet. These lack those massage bumps, but had toe grips, great arch and a deep cushioned hell cup. I cannot wait to get my new pair.

I cut up an old pair and made insoles for my work boots and now I'm super comfortable at work; but it takes a lot of work to cut them up like I did. I can only imagine how much more comfortable they would be if they had been professionally manufactured instead of hacked up to fit.
This was purchased for my friend who is recovering foot surgery and got metal plates in his foot. This helped ease pressure walking indoor allowed him to walk without pain without orthopaedic boots. It has enough cushion and arch support adapt his swallen foot without irritating it.
They dont really snug the foot. Seems like they would use a softer more coushionyrubber like Crocks does. Fit is kinda crooked on foot. when straps are adjusted they are hard to keep in line with velcrow and I think that might be why they tend tofit cooked. They tend to slipp off my feet. I just dont like the way they fit.
