As an almost 40 year-old man, I love the way these look on my feet. The contrast of the several black straps against my white skin is eye-catching, especially with the leather being shiny.I just love the simple, traditional look to these. No fancy designs or colors. Just black leather and black rubber. Simple, elegant and stylish for anyone, any outfit or any occasion.They caused painful abrasions and blisters at first, but now I can comfortably wear them all day. When first wearing them, I recommend wearing socks and only walking short distances, giving your feet time to recover until the leather softens and molds to your feet.
My husband loves the sandals
These sandals seem to be a perfect women's size 11. However, they are narrow and I think some men would find it hard to wear. They were stiff at first, but upon wearing them a few hours, they softened up and have become very comfortable.

When my old Doc Marten sandals finally broke, I found that that model had been discontinued, so I tried these as the closest approximation. The leather is noticeably thinner than the old model, but the fit and workmanship are good. With a little breaking in, I expect the leather to soften up and become even more comfortable.The only negative is that the strap of the instep is rubbing black dye onto the top of my foot! After I noticed it, I started wearing socks (how lame is that -- socks with sandals?), so now it's rubbing black dye onto my socks. Quite noticeable with white socks, not at all noticeable with black socks. If you're up for wearing black socks with your sandals, you have no problem. Otherwise...
