2nd pair in 13 years!!!

I bought these to replace my first pair. I bought the first par 13 years ago, but really they only lasted 12. They started to come apart last year. I paid over $100 for this first one so this price is a wondeful surprise. These look and feel the same. The straps are adjustable in about every direction. It always takes a little while to get them tweaked just right but then i am good to go for years. I wear them on lighter hikes, through water, sand and even around chlorinated water. They are simply built to last and they look good doing it. They are comfortable and I have gone full summers with these as my primary footwear. So don't fear long hauls in them.

Bought 7wide and I'm a 7.5

I bought these in a 7 wide and they fit amazingly for my 7.5 foot. I originally ordered an 8 and they were just too big!! The heal strap doesn't adjust and made my foot swim in the sandal. I sent them back and ordered the 7 Wide and they fit perfect.

a great deal I ran into with Chaco adults sandals

Got my pair (color/patterns: florist) for $42, a great deal I ran into with Chaco adults sandals.First impression: cushions of the Chaco footbeds in the arch area are giving me similar feelings to my Nike Benassi Duo Ultra Slide Sandal’s ($40) - they’re very thick(or high?), with plenty of support to the feet. However, Chacos don’t seem to have the same amount of cushions in the heel area as the Nike’s do. And the Chaco footbeds are much more harder, with small square patterns that kind of massage the feet (in a good way). While the Nike ones feel more of foams - very soft to the touch, but probably will deform themselves fairly quick. Conclusion: both shoes are comfortable to wear. The overall built of Chaco classic is more solid than Nike’s, and the design makes Chacos definitely a better and safer option for outdoor activities. Nevertheless, I think the Chaco cloud models might be a nicer choice if softness of the footbeds is taken into consideration. At the meanwhile I’d also like to take the opportunity to compare the Chacos and my Sctcher Misty Morning sandals, since they are of similar style/made for similar purpose.First off, these two both have contoured footbed design, but the curves are very different thus offering different support in very different areas - Chacos offers strong support mainly in the arch area, while Skechers have medium support in the arch and the heel areas.Secondly, although comfortable as well, Skechers’ footbeds are of much less friction(might be less good for hiking or climbing), and not as much of close fitting to my feet as Chacos or Nike can be (side noted that I’m not flat feet)Third, the straps of these two are made of very different materials. The Chacos’ are comfortably silkily soft that they are made to be fully customizable (you’ll need to pull and push to tighten or loosen those straps in order to make the shoes fit). While the Skechers’straps are stiff and rough - they can be customized as well at a certain level. But like other people have been complaining, the triangle parts connecting those straps of the Skechers really hurt the feet. Conclusion: Chacos and Skechers both make comfortable sandals, but Chacos feel more of high quality than Skechers - the design pays more attention to the details and the material choices are much nicer. I think I’ll still wear my Sketchers with socks on, but not with bare feet in summertimes.PS. It really takes time with Chacos to adjust the straps. If they’re not properly adjusted, the fitting will be very awkward: the shoes can look like they’re in wrong size, and your feet can be painful wearing them especially in the toe areas. But, once the adjustment is properly done, the wearing experience is top notch.PS. Size 5.5 sandals or pumps usually fits my perfectly. But with Skechers I wear size 5, so do I wear with Chacos.

A nearly perfect shoe!

These are some of the best shoes I've ever worn! They're so comfortable and they actually look cute, in my opinion, despite being a little bulky. I tried these mainly because I needed sandals with good arch support but had had some issues with Birkenstocks, which were my usual go-to. While Birkenstocks are great shoes, they're not very flexible to go over rougher terrain (I've been hiking more recently), and I found that the soles began to smell bad after a while because of the material. Chacos are great because you can wash them very easily. I run mine under the sink or shower head with a little bit of soap on the soles, leave them to dry, and they're good as new. The support is fantastic as well. I can walk for miles and while my legs might hurt, my feet never do.I only have two complaints. Firstly, they can be hard to adjust on the go. Each strap adjusts individually. While the inside of the box has instructions for the order in which you have to pull the straps, unless you memorize it, you're left guessing if you're out and want to adjust them. My friend who recommended them to me and I both have issues with the big toes seeming a little tight from time to time, but it's pretty minor. Secondly, at first they irritated parts of my feet that I guess weren't used to that much friction (specifically on the inside of my big toe and the sides of my feet. This may not be a problem for everyone, because I have fairly sensitive skin. Additionally, once you build up a little bit of a callous it's not a problem anyway.Overall, a really great shoe! A little pricy but worth the investment.

Comfortable and supportive

I have plantar fasciitis and these feel amazing on my feet. I did have to pull really hard on the strap on each sandal because it was stuck with some leftover glue. Also, I have to tighten the straps in a certain way so the toe loop doesn't get too tight. The ones without the toe strap might be easier to adjust but I noticed the one with the toe loop is $40 cheaper, so I can deal with that. I've been able to wear these sandals all day with no foot pain. I've even worn them while gardening on hilly terrain with no problem. They are a little thick and clunky but the relief of foot pain is worth it. I am very glad I found these sandals.

Comfortable but snug

I initially ordered a nine, but they were too short and the straps were tight. I exchanged for a 10 in the hopes the straps would have some more room, but they were somehow more tight than the nine?? The length of the 10 was perfect and once I was able to get them on they were really comfortable aside from the top straps. Not sure if others would have this problem though, I have kind of tall/thick feet.

Solid

The real deal. Not Vibram sole, but almost no sport sandal does it anymore. These were the real deal off Amazon at a good price. Waterproof, good arch support, solid. Would definitely buy again.
