These are perfect, I made sure to trace my daughters foot and order a half size up based on Chaco’s sizing recommendations. There’s a little room at the top to grow in, they hug the foot well, no place on them will rub the foot. I know they are difficult to get on but I figured it out, until they are stretched you have to push the foot all the way into the shoe until the back stiff part is behind the heel, then pull the mesh part back up over the heel. It worked on the first try!
GREAT summer shoes for our boys (ages 4 and 7). Very sturdy and stay on well...perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and water activities. I like that they are very sturdy and the closed toe makes me feel better about them running around. Since boys always find a way to get wet or find mud to splash in, these are great and rinse off in the hose really well.
Love how supportive these are for my 9 year old. They were tight at first but they figured out how to put them on after the first few times of using them. Now they are a breeze.
These shoes are very cute and have the potential to be very functional as shoes for kids in the summer. Once the kids got the shoes on, they said they were really comfortable and would have been great for summer time activities. However, they were at least one size too small and very difficult to put on. Even with a size that was too big, our kid could not easily slide the shoes on and off. Sadly, we had to return them.

These things are IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ON. They were 1 size to big, loosened as much as possible and they are so hard to get over the heel!!!! Once they are on, they are amazing but you can forget about your 7 or 8 year old being able to do these on their own. Add 5 minutes to your departure time because they are a pain.
What can I say? These are bad ass shoes! My son can not thrash these shoes up! He will keep trying and I will continue to buy Chacos!
We bought these to use at Disney World. These are now my sons favorite shoes. He is 5 & has never mentioned a shoe being comfy. These are perfect for our water park days & ever day use.
