I’ve been wearing chacos for years and decided to switch it up and try these that are a little thinner. I like them. If I was getting them for an outdoors trip or for hiking etc exclusively I might prefer the original style for the extra support but for some outdoorsing and also just a quality made and comfortable sandal to wear around town or to the beach these are great.
I bought these sandals to wear on an upcoming trip to the Bahamas. I wore them on my first day and the ladies flocked to me like nobodies business. Luckily they fit well or I wouldn’t have been able to run away from the throngs of bikini clad women drooling over my fish belly and sandals. It wasn’t enough. And I was caught. It was an amazing 4 days. Everywoman on the island wanted me. And it was all because of my sandals.
I took these and a pair of tennis shoes on a 2 week trip in Europe and they were perfect. Lightweight, study, comfortable. I wore them on a big hike and they were great. Let the dogs out!

Wanted a sandel with good support and comfort and these are perfect and fair price too .
Adjusting them to put on and off every time is annoying. I'm sure you get used to it, but it bothered me enough to send back. Also, I'm usually a 9.5-10 and the 10 was a little too large for me. Once on they are secure and comfortable, just not my style.
I love these sandals, for all reasonable things these are great.The only thing that is a complaint I think a VERY small amount of people might make is that you cannot tighten them 110% like some previous models of Chaco size 12. What do I mean by that? I mean that if I decide to play some basketball because I forgot shoes like an idiot I cannot tie these so tight they suffocate my foot so I can cross up the other team, I can only go about 60-80% as hard in the paint.like said, they are great, I just wish they made them a bit tighter.
Much lighter and more comfortable than the original chacos but the straps seem thinner and lighter so they’re harder to slide onto your feet without using your hands.
