My daughter has been wanting the sandals for sometime, so imagine her excitement when she came across the amazing sale they had. These are perfect sandals for any occasion whether it is hiking or throwing them on with a summer dress. Comfortable and durable.
I normally wear a size 8 so that is what I bought. They seemed just a little bit too short. So I returned them and bought the size nine which seemed just a little too long. I return those and the Goldilocks in me bought the eight wide and they fit just right. I'm assuming the run a bit narrow since I've never bought wide before but they feel great.Excellent arch support, room for a big toe bunion to poke out comfortably, and easy to adjust. Some of the reviews say the adjustability wasn't awesome but it seems great to me. These are the first chacos I've ever bought so they could mean compared to other chacos but I have zero complaints.
Very comfortable and I love the style.
Fits perfectly with awesome arch support. They do prove to be difficult to put on. They are not step and and tighten. The straps over the toe tend to tighten and require you to pull them loose each time. Otherwise, comfortable and appear to be durable. Time will tell.
I bought these to replace a pair of Chacos in the same style that were at least 11 years old, that i'd had resoled once before. The second sole was also worn out and the straps were fraying a bit so I figured it was time, I more than got my money's worth out of the original pair. You can actually hike rugged trails in these sandals, and they are the only sandal I've ever owned where I had no concerns putting them on in the morning expecting a full day on my feet. San Francisco bay area trails, muddy hikes in Hawaii, cobbled streets in Europe, all good. Also great for wearing into the ocean or a lake with a rocky beach. These fit true to size, I am usually a 9 and the 9 regular fits perfectly. I have narrow feet and there's definitely extra length in the webbing, the regular would fit a regular foot fine. If you think your feet are chubby or you ever buy a wide shoe you should probably go with the wide option.I prefer the double-narrow strap style to the single-wide strap style because it feels like it adjusts a bit more precisely around the toe area. I have never had any issues with the straps rubbing uncomfortably except if I wear them into salt water and don't do a great job of washing off the salt and sand afterwards.I really can't recommend these enough if you are going to do anything even vaguely active in a warm climate, even just walking 5 miles around the city. I expect this pair to last another 10 years, when you look at how much they cost it seems on the expensive side "for sandals" but the quality and value is top notch.
This is my second pair of Chacos. My other pair has the toe loop with double straps and says Vibram soles on the bottom. The old pair is very pretty, but it took a long whole to break in and just generally felt stiffer. I loved being able to hike in it on land or water and found it easy to clean. I don't know how ppl can complain about he stink honestly bc they stink less than any sandals I've ever worn, considering how much use they would get.The problem with my old pair was that even after breaking in, of it star to get to the 2 mi marker my feet would start to rub and blister. Now my feet are a true medium, if not slightly wider, although wide is always too wide for me. My old Chacos seemed to have a little extra on the sides though. My new ones don't buy they still have just the right amount, so not sure if that will affect ppl used to the old sizing which seems slightly different. The other difference I've noticed from my older Chacos (they aren't the classics, but I'm unsure the exact model name) is that they feel a lot stiffer and heavier. The new ones still feel firm but with just the slightest amount of cushion. I can't explain it. I wouldn't want them to be too cushiony as that isn't the feel I like.I love how sturdy they feel and like me ankles are supported. Somehow they feel super utilitarian and also modern and sleek in their own way. This new pair is so comfy I've already been walking a little longer with my dog and absolutely no rubbing or blisters.I do think the toe loop ones are still slightly prettier so may keep a pair of those on hand, but these will be my go to shoes for 9 months out of the year, due to living in a hot climate.I already loved Chacos and now I love my Check Black z1 clouds even more!
I love chacos! They are a great shoe for walking and light hiking. I love using them in the summer because of their open air sandal design. I got these all black ones because I wanted them to be able to be dressed up or dressed down. These shoes take some breaking in, once you've worn them a good bit, they are extremely comfortable and form nicely to your foot. The double straps are a little difficult to get on and off, but once the shoe gets used to your foot, then it gets easier as you get used to the shoe.
